Your once white surface has turned yellow. You lost the felt tip of your nose almost 11 years ago. You are ripped in places and your eyes are scratched. You are not as soft as you used to be, but I don’t mind. Despite your loss of fur and lack of appearance, I still love you. You smell the same as when I was young. You smell just the way I want you to... Like me.

You have traveled with me all over the country. You have seen almost all the places I have seen. You have survived many “surgeries,” baths, and falls to the ground. You even survived a trip to the garbage can when my grandpa dropped you in there because I was being a brat.

You have suffered from my behavior, landing yourself on top of the refrigerator when I was bad. You waited patiently each time you sat all alone up there. You put up with all my stupidity and were there for me 24/7.

I have many secrets and you know every single one of them. Ever since we met when I was only two weeks old, we have been inseparable. Although I am 15 now, I still refuse to give up sleeping with you. I used to think people would make fun of me for taking you to sleep overs, but they understood me and so I see no need to put you with all the other “forgotten” ones.

You are Boo. I will always be your best friend and you will always be mine. You have helped me through the toughest times in life and you have seen me in the greatest. You are my teddy bear and nobody else’s. As I sit here writing this, with you in my lap, I realize how much you mean to me. Friends, boyfriends, and relatives come and go. You are the one constant in my life. I love you Boo.
