When I thought you were gone,

I could not move.

When I thought you were lost,

Tears burned my face.

When I thought you were forgotten,

I wept unending.

When I thought you were hurt,

Words could not come.

When I thought you were beaten,

My heart nearly broke.

When I thought you were dead,

These things combined,

Destroying my life.

Now you are here,

I will jump for joy.

Now you are found,

I cry tears of happiness.

Now you are remembered,

I weep in delight.

Now you are healed,

I will not be silenced.

Now you are lively,

My heart is renewed.

Now you are alive,

My life is filled with pleasure eternal.

Do not leave me again,

I will surely die.

Do not hurt me again,

I can not take the pain.
