Hello. I'm suppose to be working on War Of Control but i had this freaky dream that inspired me to write this O.o
I dunno what actuaaly goes on in a boarding school so bare with me.
As the car pulled into the driveway of her new home Kailey Wright; 16 years of age looked out of the window. 8 floors high, red brick, dark oak window frames and doors. This wasn’t just her home…it was a school. The car pulled up next to it and she climbed out. Kailey was tall for her age, she stood around 5”6, slim. She had long purple hair, which was dyed and golden brown eyes. She wore simple black pants and tank top, white trainers and a pentagram hung from her neck. She tucked her thumbs into her trousers and stared up at the school, then looked to her mother; Asuka.
“A boarding school?” She raised a brow. Asuka just smiled and headed in. There was only one word Kailey could use to describe her mother, airhead. Kailey followed suit. She wasn’t liking the place a bit. It was giving off a strange vibe that made her nervous.
“Mrs. Asuka Wright!” The head mistress walked up to them. “It’s good to see you” The head hugged her mother. Kailey cocked a brow. The teacher had short blonde hair, blue eyes. She wore a gray skirt and blazer and a white shirt with black shoes. Asuka turned to Kailey and smiled.
“This is Angela Smith, you remember her, right?”
Kailey blinked a few times trying to make her brain think very far back. Then she shrugged.
“Kailey, donkeys shrug” Asuka scolded. “Angela is an old friend of mine, you were six when you met”
“Mom, I can’t remember yesterday let alone 10 years ago” She replied sarcastically. Asuka frowned and turned back to her friend.
“You’ll have to excuse my daughter, she’s a victim of bullying” The last words were a whisper. Kailey rolled her eyes. Why didn’t her mother just tell the world already? Angela nodded and turned to her.
“Well, I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen here” She smiled. Asuka left to grab Kailey’s suitcase while she was left alone with Angela. “How do you like the school so far?”
“It has a weird vibe, do you have ghosts or something?”
Angela laughed “No, it’s probably just your nerves”
“Hardly” Kailey looked around.
“Here’s your suitcase sweetie!” Asuka smiled and handed it to her.
“Thanks” She mumbled. Her mother kissed her on the cheek leaving a red lipstick mark.
“Be good” She turned and left.
“I’ll try” Kailey started to rub the mark off her cheek. She hated make-up. She followed Angela through the hallways past many classrooms before taking a lift to the top floor.
“The dorms are on the top two floors, girls on 7th boys on 8th”
Kailey raised a brow, they were on 8th “There’s a catch isn’t there?”
“Unfortunately” She took a deep breath “We only have 2 beds per room and we currently don’t have a spare in the girls, so”
“I’ll be bunking with a boy!?” She stopped and stared at Angela.
“Temporally, till a bed or room is free. It shouldn’t take more than a few weeks, one of the trouble makers will be kicked out by then”
Kailey looked down at her pentagram “What did I do to deserve this?” She asked it knowing she wouldn’t get a reply. They continued on and soon stopped at a door.
“This is your dorm for now” Angela pulled out some paper and a key from her pocket and handed them to her. “Schedule and map, your roommate is Chris” She smiled “Anything you want to ask?”
“Can I burn candles and incense?” Angela thought for a moment then nodded and was about to speak. “I’ll be careful” Kailey cut in “And I’ll survive now”
“You don’t have any classes this afternoon and since it’s the weekend tomorrow, none then. Take this time to look around”
Kailey rolled her eyes “Will do”. Angela smiled and left. Kailey unlocked the door and slowly opened it. She peered in. Empty. She didn’t have classes but perhaps Chris did.
“Your bunking with a girl!?” She heard a voice from the other side of the door “Dude, that’s torture”
“Yeah I know, I bet she’s some weirdo”
Her eye brow twitched. She wasn’t weird, she was different. She didn’t bother to open her eyes when the door opened, she didn’t care what he thought of her. She heard a snigger and footsteps drawing nearer.
“Step into the circle and you’ll be punished” She heard a laugh and his foot passed over the candles into the circle and back again.
“By who, you?” He laughed again.
“No” She smirked as she heard him slip and fall “By fate”
“That was a coincidence!” It was her turn to laugh.
“Was goes out comes back to thee” She rhymed.
“Which means?”
“I’ll dumb it down for you. Do something wrong or bad and it’ll come back and bite you in the ass, understand?” She didn’t get a reply and took it as a ‘no’.
“I was right, you are a weirdo”
“I’m different!” She snapped. Chris raised his hands.
“Whatever you say” He sighed and lowered them “How long you been there?”
She shrugged “Time is it?”
“12:30”
“A good couple of hours then”. She muttered something to herself then blew out the candles and packed them away. She looked at Chris. Dark brown hair, eyes to match. Loose black shirt with ‘Linkin Park’ across it and dark blue jeans. He seemed slim but obviously muscular. She eyed him a bit longer “Least you got good taste in music” She laid on her bed and looked around. The room wasn’t too big, yet not too small. The beds were about 2 strides apart with a night stand between them, obviously Chris’. The carpet was red, the door was dark oak and so was the desk in the corner. The bathroom was near Kailey’s bed about a meter away. There was an awkward silence between the two. Chris coughed.
“So, um…what’s your name?”
“Kailey, I guess your Chris”
He nodded. “There’s no classes this afternoon”
“I know” She fiddled with her pentagram and looked up at the ceiling. “Did you hurt yourself?”
“It’s no big deal, my own fault for leavingthe bookthere”
Kailey just nodded and started to hum.
“Numb” Chris blurted out. She smiled slightly and nodded.
“My favorite”. She heard the bell and Chris stood up.
“Coming for lunch?”
“Nah” She got up herself “I’ll look around a bit”. She grabbed her map and followed Chris out. He locked the door and joined up with his friends. She walked passed them. 3 of them immediately pulled away from the group, leaving Chris and 2 others lagging behind.
“Hey” One of the walked by her left. She glanced at him “What’s a sweet thing like you doing up here?”
“Living here, apparently” She sighed.
“Did you know this place has ghosts?” One on her right smirked.
“Fully aware”. The one behind her grabbed her ass. She swung for him and missed. She took a deep breath and looked at the elevator. She turned and walked down the stairs.
“It’s a long way down” They shouted.
“Don’t care!” She shouted back. She’d rather walk down hundreds of stairs then risk getting molested by a bunch of horny boys.
