Sexy Vampire
Princess- Here’s the update, a little late… but at least it’s
finally here...
Here's chapter 3, Enjoy:
I huffed as I sat against the wall of the dungeon chamber that I had carelessly been thrown into, as if I had been a rag doll and not a human being. This was great, just great… things could not possibly get any worse then this…
That was what I thought as I had took a look at my surroundings, there wasn’t much that was for sure… it was a pretty small chamber, no more then ten by ten feet. Opposite me was a door, next to it a torch, which didn’t give off enough light to show off much else. The corners were still shrouded in darkness and I looked at them a little uneasy. Especially, after I heard movement from somewhere to my left.
“Danielle?” a voice whispered, hoarsely.
I gasped, and moved away slowly, scared out of my mind, “W-who’s there?” I asked trying to keep my voice calm, but failing miserably.
“Dani, it’s me.” The voice said again.
I stopped; only one person called me that… “Mary?” I asked squinting into the darkness, and gasping as she emerged, looking like she had been in some sort of battle. Her clothes were torn in some places and she had a few scratches that were just beginning to scab up, that’s all I saw in the light that was available to us “What-what happened?” I asked staring, wide eyed at her.
“There was an ambush at the castle, Dani. Not three hours after you left. Kudés, they attacked us and the village. They killed everyone; they only kept a few servants… they weren’t very happy when they discovered that you were not there.” Mary began sobbing. “It was horrible!” she cried.
I stared at her, there had been an ambush? They had only attacked a few weeks before! What were they playing at? A thought came into my head and I found myself whispering the next question.” What about father, Mary? He’s alright, right?” desperate to hear that my father was in fact okay… and was safe. I may not have liked him because of the whole arranged marriage thing, but he was still my father, and I still loved him.
“Yea, I think so… I think he hid in the secret room. I didn’t see him at all during the scuffle. I don’t think he was very happy when he discovered that you weren’t there… I think he now suspects that they took you… if he finds you here...” she trailed off. I knew what would happen… he would start a war thinking that they had kidnapped me, but really I had just been captured on accident by them… they didn’t even know who I was.
I sighed, “I know Mary… and then I’ll never be able to runaway again because he’ll have eyes on me every single second of everyday.” That was another reason why I needed to get out before my father came to ‘collect me’.
“What are you doing here anyway?” she asked, as if finally noticing that I was there and shouldn’t be. “Shouldn’t you be at Oliver’s by now?”
“I should...yes… but when I left the house, I went the wrong way and I, unknowingly, wandered into Kudés territory. You know how bad I am with direction, especially during the nighttime…. Anyway, I got caught by some men from their army and they brought me here… they don’t know who I am, Mary, and it has to stay that way.” I said, in a somewhat threatening manner, “If they find out who I really am, who knows what would happen… for now I am Catherine, and it will stay that way until I can get both of us out of here.”
She never even got a chance to answer me for just then the door banged open and standing in the doorway, a very bored look on his face, was Nicholas, prince of Kudés and only heir to the throne. Or at least I thought it was, since he looked to be my age, with brown hair that hung to just above his shoulder and a pair of emerald green eyes.
I crossed my arms over my chest as he stood there in a very “I’m powerful, you’re not” stance. I glared at him as he stepped into the room, he was followed by two men, both stood beside him, like they were his bodyguards of sorts. Since they were a lot bigger then he was.
I snorted, “What? Afraid of me are you?” I snarled at him.
He raised his eyebrows, “Feisty I see. Father was right.” He smirked. “And no I am not afraid of you, a mere servant girl.” I growled at that statement, but didn’t say anything; he would pay for that later. “On the contrary, they’re here for two reasons, one to make you stay in line and two to move your little friend here.” He nodded in Mary’s general direction, “So I can talk to you.”
I looked at him, “What could you possibly need to say to me?”
“You’d be surprised.” He nodded to the two guards and they made their way over to Mary, sitting in the corner, who immediately began scurrying away from them, not that I was surprised, those men did look rather scary.
“You won’t hurt her will you?” I asked.
“No, I’m only going to move her to a new cell.” He shrugged, “You were suppose to be in here alone.”
“If you hurt her, I will castrate you, do you understand me?” I said in a very menacing way. He merely chuckled, obviously not finding my threat very threatening
“If you even come close enough to try, I will kill you. They’re not going to hurt her. You have my word.”
I scoffed, “You’re word is as good as any other thief. You can’t be trusted.”
He didn’t answer but again nodded and the two men picked up Mary, and unceremoniously dragged her out of the room closing the door behind them and leaving us alone.
“So… what’s your name?” he asked
“Why should I tell you?” I asked, glaring at him as he sat down Indian style a few feet away from me.
He smirked, “Because otherwise, I’ll call you ‘servant girl’ or ‘girl’ or a variety of other names. Trust me; I can be very creative in that department. And I’m sure you wouldn’t like many of the names that I can come up for you.”
I stared at him for a few moments, before deciding that I didn’t want to know what kind of names that he could come up for me… they would probably not be very nice. “My name is Catherine”
“Uh-huh… and where did you come from?”
I gave him an incredulous look, “Excuse me? What kind of question is that?”
“Since neither my father nor myself recognize you, you obviously are not a part of our kingdom. Together, we know almost everyone that lives here.”
“I am not from this pathetic excuse for a country.” I snarled.
He raised his eyebrow, “Oh and you would know all about that now would you?”
“Yes, actually I would.”
“Really now?” he asked inching closer to me. “How’s that?”
I watched him for a few seconds, not trusting him, “I don’t see how it’s any of your business.”
“Well, since you’re mine now, it’s nice to know where my servants come from.”
“I, do not belong to anyone, you conceited jerk.” Narrowing my eyes at him.
He chuckled softly, not seeming at all angry at my words. “Yes, you definitely are not from here. No, common peasant would talk to me in that manner.”
“Yea, well you know what? I’m not a ‘common peasant’ as you so nicely put it.” I crossed my arms over my chest.
“Really? Then what exactly are you?” he pushed again, “Come now, Catherine, I do not want to have to get violent in order to get any answers out of you.”
“You wouldn’t dare!” I snarled, “Hitting a woman is-” I stopped mid sentence with a gasp when he suddenly had his face so close to mind, our noses were almost touching.
“Ah, but you are not a woman. You’re nothing but a girl. A pretty powerless one at that.” He said with a smirk as he picked up my arm, as if proving that the fact that I was quite bony meant that I was not strong and capable of taking care of myself.
“Don’t. Touch. Me.” I said, through gritted teeth, shoving him away roughly.
“Where I come from, to hit a lady is a horrible offense. Common peasant or not.” I said.
“I only know of one kingdom that has that ruling, and sadly, it doesn’t exist anymore.” He smirked, at my reaction, “Sernia was ambushed just a few short hours ago. The King is most likely dead…as for the princess… we don’t know, she’s wasn’t there… we know that she had already left before we arrived. She’s out there somewhere, Catherine, and I am going to find her.” This was a pretty humorous situation, seeing as how he was talking about me. And how he was going to find me, too bad that I had already been found… and was right there.
“I doubt you will. Danielle is-”
“On a first name basis, I see? Do you not have respect for your superiors?” he asked.
“Everyone in Sernia is considered equal. She doesn’t want anyone to refer to her as anything but her name.”
He scoffed, “figures. No wonder they’re so easy to defeat. They can’t even hold power over their own people. You can’t rule a country if everyone is “equal” as you put it. There’s a class system that one must go by.”
“Well, that’s your opinion. Sernia is doing just fine without a so called class system.”
“Was” he corrected me, “Sernia doesn’t exist anymore.”
“So, the royal family had loyalty from their people, they didn’t need to threaten people in order to receive that. Can you say the same thing?” I scoffed, “I don’t think so.”
He stared at me for a few moments.
I stared at him, refusing to break eye contact with him, even though I really wanted to with the way he was looking at me. “You will definitely be a fun one; I can already tell that it will take weeks, for me to get so much as a curtsy from you. But, we are going to have a lot of fun.” He said as he got up and left me alone. Completely ignoring the very rude look I was sending him.
Well, there is chapter 3! So, how do you like Nicholas? I know he’s somewhat arrogant, but I love him anyway!! I’m really sorry about the late update and about the fact that I am still having writers block with this story and I have NO clue when I will update, I’m hoping that’s soon, but I can’t make any promises! I have two other stories on here I’m working on and then one fan fiction on another site and I’m about to start another fan fiction. Add fifteen credit hours and expect updates to be very sporadic! But, don’t fear I WILL finish this story; it just might take longer then the rest of my stuff! So, until whenever I get a chance to update again, see ya and review!
