I always wondered if you ever liked me

“Friends to the end” you would always say

Never with emotion

Just talking like you’re just taking in each day.

I hated that you never felt the way I felt for you.

Like you never even cared that I loved you.

You would always say “I love you,”

But you would never really mean it.

I thought it was true and believed it.

Then you found someone.

Found someone new.

And just like that, it was over between me and you.

And after it was over, you came crawling back.

Saying, “Come on! Give me some slack!”

I let you back in.

Giving you a second chance.

I never thought you would do it again!

But here we go again

Different day, same old excuse.

I’m fed up with the lies.

Now it’s over forever,

It’s time to say good-bye.
