“Caroline! Come in dear daughter.”

“But madam, I want ta go swimming. Can’t I go with Storm?” “Nay go ta the dining room child.”

“Aye madam. Can I go ta change? Ye know ‘ow Cousin Tom is with ‘the proper way ta be English.’ So may I go?”

“Aye Caro.” Caro went up to her room and placed a gown of gold on. Along with her small princess’ tiara. She walked down and her cousin’s guest gapped at her.

“‘Tis that ye’re Cousin Tom?”

“Aye she is a beauty.” Caroline was a slender elfin child, with eye’s that were a bright amber, and fire red hair. She was but 14 years old and look as enchanting as an 18-year-old.

“Aye that she is. And you say she acts like a boy most o’ the time? She looks like a grown lassie ta me.”

“That’s my cousin. Caroline! I’ve some one for ye to meet. Do come say hello.”

“Coming Tom. I love to meet your guest.” Then she walked toward them.

“ Tom dear I hope ye haven’t been spreading any silly roomers about your cousin. Have ye?”

“Aye. But they weren’t roumers and well you know it.” She laughed. Her laughter was like a single brook trickling. Everyone who heard it ended up laughing with her.

“Caro, this is my friend Damien Eldon. He is from England.”

“Aye, I can bloody well tell that Tom! How do ye do sir? Ye don’t have ta bloody tell me he’s from bloody England!”

“CAROLINE O’HARA! WATCH YOUR MOUTH YOUNG LADY!”

Caroline's face turned almost as red as her hair “Oh! Pardon me madam. Do pardon me Sir. Darien I meant nothing by that.”

“I do believe the your cousin was right about how you act. Do ride horses?”

“Aye, that I do. But I refuse to ride bloody sidesaddle. Sorry madam.” “Come then lets go for a ride cousin Caro.”

“Tom. It’s plain Caro. And if ye call me cousin once more I’ll deck ye.” They walked out with Caroline still blurting curses.

As they were riding Storm O’Conner came riding up. “I knew I’d find ye with the boys Caro. Granny’s ready ta kill ye for being late. Come we must go.”

“Oh, Dear! Goodbye I shall see ye soon.” And they rode off at a fast pace.

Later at a small cave

“Caro, do remind me why I call ye child of gold?”

“’Tis for that I am of much worth ta ye, granny.”

“Aye so ye gallop about the country with our bloody well enemies do ye?”

“Nay he is an Eldon granny.”

“Oh? And why is he here? Tom invited him.” Granny opened her mouth to say something but Caro cut her off.

“I will NOT ignore my cousin for he is part English! I am a part Celt am I not? Do ye see him ignoring me?”

“Nay I do na. But ye must be carefull. Understood young seeeress?” “Aye granny my lesson shall begin now?” and it did. Granny began to teach the girls more about the arts of witch craft. The girls were tottaly sisters
