Illusion Flavour Fic Challenge Entry
by Feifu
Hazelnut: Phone Call
Pairing: Russell x Faye
Rating: NC-17
Warning: AU; lemon/smut (thus the rating); some OOCness; and a tiny bit of spoiler about a new character, I think.
Disclaimer: Illusion is a story written by my dear friend, AnaBarton. You can find the main story, as well as original Illusion art (done by yours truly) at this site: All characters are purely fictional, and any resemblance to circumstances in real life is, as far as I know, are coincidental.
Russell came languidly awake. He stretched his hand out to cuddle his bedmate and found the other side of the bed empty. Frowning, he sat up only to find himself alone inside the bedroom. He wrapped a rumpled blanket around his waist when he couldn’t find his clothes and silently padded out of the room. He caught the sound of someone humming and followed its source.
Faye was busy tinkering around in the kitchen. She was wearing his missing shirt and a snug belt that delineated her small waist while the shirt’s hem ended several inches above her knees. Seeing her wearing something of his made his loins jerk awake. It somehow reaffirmed the fact that she was his. Entirely mine, he thought with a cocky grin, knowing for a fact that last night was her first and he was the one to claim her. He planned to be her first and last lover, if he had any say in the matter.
She looked happy and content as she pored over the refrigerator’s contents. Her head tilted to the side in the way it did when she was trying to decide on something before she finally took out a big platter with an inverted bowl. She was about to place that on the counter when she saw him and visibly started and actually jumped back, almost dropping what she was holding.
“Russ! God lord, you startled me!” she exclaimed, putting the platter down and then placing her hands on her waist and then spoiling the mad-at-him effect with a sheepish smile.
“Why’d you leave the bed? I was surprised to find you gone,” he told her, pouting. He walked over to the counter and leaned across it, giving her a dark eyed smile, he captured her lips in a quick but gentle kiss. “G’morning!”
They broke apart and he was glad to see her blush.
“Are you saying we’re even now?” she asked with a quirk of an eyebrow.
“Yep,” he said, happily chucking her chin and then giving her another kiss. “What’s this? Breakfast?”
She grimaced, “Guess it is. I’m kinda too lazy to cook a proper breakfast for us.”
“What is it?”
“A cake I made yesterday morning,” she answered, removing the inverted bowl to reveal a white dome shaped confectionery.
“Doesn’t look very appetizing,” he teased.
“It’s not finished yet,” she defended. She rummaged around the cupboard and took out a jar full of Nutella hazelnut spread which she liberally daubed across the whole outside surface of the dome. Then taking out a can of whipped cream, made rosettes along the circumference and sprinkled powdered sugar atop to finish it off.
Russell loved watching her work in the kitchen. She was in her element whenever she decided to cook anything, be it as exotic as super spicy vegetarian spaghetti or as simple as pouring hot water for instant ramen. “There!” she said triumphantly smiling at him and cutting him a slice. “Try it.”
He accepted the slice with a small smirk, preparing himself for any kind of weird taste and was pleasantly surprised when his teeth sank into the saccharine creaminess of hazelnut chocolate that veritably melted into his palate. He hurriedly took another mouthful and closed his eyes as he smiled blissfully, totally enjoying the taste.
Faye gave him a throaty laugh and asked, “That good, eh?”
“You should try it,” he told her, forking another bite and offering it to her.
She took his offer and ate from the proffered utensil he was holding. “Hmmmm…”
“Good, eh?” he asked, watching in fascination as she slid the fork out of her mouth.
“Real good…” she breathed out, eyes meeting his, “even better than sex.”
“Really?” Russ drawled. That was a challenge to his prowess, if ever there was one. But before he could act on any of his plans to prove her wrong, the phone rang.
“I’ll get it!” she said, running to get the phone. She answered it on its fourth ring.
Russell heard her say hello to whoever was calling and then tuned her out. The cake really did taste heavenly, a lot like those chocolate bonbons he used to give girls during valentines that cost so damn much per box, and it wasn’t everyday that Faye managed to pull off a new recipe that didn’t involve him having to drink a ton of water just to swallow a bite down. He finished off the slice on his plate and went right ahead and ate from the platter where the cake was served. He was enjoying eating so much that he didn’t immediately realize how long Faye was taking on the phone. He had actually halved the cake when he realized this and went to search for her.
Whomever Faye was speaking to was making her laugh. He watched her for a while as she talked animatedly, twirling the telephone cord around her little finger. Her back was to him and so he figured that she didn’t know he was standing behind her yet. She laughed again, throatily; and his curiosity was piqued. Who’s she talking to? he wondered.
“Oh stop that, Bri…” she chuckled, the sound coming from deep her throat.
Brian?! Was she talking to that Brian-I’m-a-snotty-bastard-Quiambao? Russell froze in place. It was somewhat shocking to be reminded that there indeed was another man in Faye’s life. Brian was out of the country on a business trip. He’d be gone for an entire week and Russell had schemed to take this very chance to take Faye away from him. Her fucking fiancé. Not that the bastard would have that title for long…
“So where are you now, by the way?” A pause, Russ imagined that SOB answering her question. What did she care where the bloody bastard was anyway!
“Uhhuh…okay.” Faye smiled softly, “Uh-huh. No, I’m perfectly fine,” she said. “How about you? You said you’d be busy, I’m surprised you called.”
Was she glad he called? Seeing her smile while she was talking to his rival made Russell’s blood boil. That man had no right to make her smile like that.
“Aww… that must be fun,” her face showed her longing. “Wish I could be there too…”
Russell scowled. So she’d rather be with Brian than with him, huh?
He moved; grabbing her from behind, and roughly cupping her breasts through the fabric of his shirt.
Faye gasped in surprise and almost dropped the receiver. Almost. She managed to hold onto it as Russell dragged her to the floor to sit on his lap. Good thing that the cord was long enough to accommodate their position.
“No! I- I’m fine!” she exclaimed into the phone. Faye tried to swivel her head to look at him but Russell pressed his face to the back of her head and whispered, “We wouldn’t want your fiancé to find out I’m here now, don’t we, Fayester?”
Faye’s eyes went wide and she slowly shook her head. He knew what was going through her mind. He knew that she wouldn’t want that bastard to find out this way.
Russell had half a mind to wrench the phone away from her and talk to Brian, tell him exactly what he and Faye had been doing the night before and what he had in mind to do to her right now. But the idea that he could be taking her while she was talking to her so-called fiancé and the latter having no idea about what was happening on the other end of the line… that was too delicious a thought. Russell would show him just who Faye really wanted. And he’d show her as well.
He pinched her nipple, then traced it slowly with his thumb while his other hand traveled down her body rubbing roughly through her panty. Faye gasped again and then clamped her mouth shut against making anymore untoward sounds. “I-I’m okay!” she panted into the phone. So, how’s London like this time of the year?”
Russell hurriedly unbuttoned the shirt from behind and slid it down her shoulders. He slipped her panty down her legs and turned her around to face him. He let Faye straddle him when he pulled her down, letting her feel the bulge of his erection through the blanket he had earlier wrapped around himself.
She held on to his shoulder with one hand while the other clutched at the receiver. “That’s nice,” she managed to say while he licked between her breasts and then sucked on a nipple. “Ahhh… you must really like it there, huh?”
“What have I been up to?” Faye opened her eyes and met Russell’s, shivering at the dark depths she found there that she knew she would be easily lost in. “Nothing much,” So, this was nothing to her, eh? Let’s see now… Russell plunged a finger inside her and felt her muscles tighten around his finger. She was already wet for him. “I’ve just been taking some time off-ah!”
“Liar,” he hissed and bit her lower lip. She responded, opening her mouth for a deeper kiss which he took without the need of her permission. They both tasted like hazelnut and chocolate, and he was reminded of what she said about the cake… ‘Better than sex’? We’ll see about that. He moved his finger back and forth below and added another making her groan.
Faye could hear Brian at the other end calling her name so she brought the phone back to her and said, “Yeah, I’m here. Just… remembered to turn the TV off.” Russell trailed kisses down her neck. “Sorry. Where were we? No, I’m okay. Maybe a bit breathless coz,” she gasped when he moved his other hand to her clitoris and rubbed it sideways with his nail, “c-coz I was r-ran all the way b-back here.”
She was more than ready for him. Russell shifted till he freed his member from the blanket and positioned himself right at her entrance. “Keep him on the line, okay Faye?” Russell told her. He waited for her weak nod before pulling her down and thrusting inside.
“AHHH!” she squealed, eyes wide as they met his, the two brown orbs screaming in the stead of her mouth her obvious need for him.
“Keep him on the line,” he reminded her, hands guiding her hips to move while he slid deeper inside of her and starting a rhythmic pace.
“No, I’m alright!” she said shakily. “I just, hit my toe on the edge of the table. You shouldn’t worry, really.”
“He shouldn’t,” Russell whispered to her softly, “Coz I’m here. I’ll take care of you.” Russell shifted their position and allowed her to lie down on the floor. Hooking his arms under her knees, he raised her legs higher in the air changing the angle of her hips. He resumed his previous pace, but tried to hit a particular spot with each stroke. Faye gasped and whimpered as this was quickly pushing her to the edge. He thrust deeply into her and Faye rewarded him another low moan when he hit her g-spot yet again.
Russell grinned. This was one thing he knew about her that Brian did not, Russell thought smugly. He took particular pleasure in trying to find it the night before and he wasn’t about to forget where it was right now. “Keep talking to him,” he hissed in her ear, then biting the side of her neck with relish, marking her for himself.
“Yes,” Faye obeyed, swallowing back a groan. She listened to Brian speak for several minutes, all the while moving to meet every one of Russell’s thrusts and raking his naked chest with her nails. “That’s must be,” she started to say as Russell thrust in, “…very,” out, “…very” in again, “nice…”
Russell felt himself losing control. He signaled Faye to put down the phone, not wanting to share his orgasm and hers, in particular, with the other man whether her fiancé knew what was happening or not.
“Err… Brian?” Faye said, hurriedly. “Uh.. ah… could you… please… call me another time? No, no. I’m fine. Really. This isn’t a good time, I got something coming… ahhh! Out of the ahhhh… oven.” She gritted her teeth, trying to control her body. “No, really. I just… don’t want to-” Russell seized that time to flick Faye clit. “Ahh!... I’m just worried I’d, oh God!” Faye’s eyes rolled up to the ceiling, she was barely holding on. “Overcook it or something, so… you understand, don’t you? Bye!” And without further ado, she handed the receiver to Russell who literally yanked the phone unit off its connection on the wall. She came mere moments later, screaming Russell’s name.
He felt her vaginal muscles convulse and clamp down as she came. Russell thrust in deeply once more and stayed inside while he released his seed into her. He felt like crowing for he knew he had won over the absent man. Faye had obeyed his every command and had chosen him instead of continuing to speak with the bastard. And from the way she met his gaze, he knew that she had finally realized the same thing.
You’re mine, he thought, nipping at the mark on her neck and then licking to sooth the red skin. You’re truly mine.

Ran out of time to edit this one and add more because someone else cough-james-cough went and hounded me to rewrite his fic. It ended rather abruptly… anyways, had to make it up to Russell so I ended up writing it this way.
Poor Brian… 0 Not that I dislike Brian; he’s a really nice character and all, pero I was trying to get into Russell’s POV here, thus the Brian-bashing. Dunno if Rushkins in the canon would really do something like this, so it is a bit OOC, or maybe he would, but I really don’t know now do I?
And I don’t want to get into the circumstances of the how and why Faye’s with Russ considering in this AU she’s supposed to be Brian’s fiancée…
Gah… whatever. Hope you guys liked this fic.
Btw, if you noticed, I didn’t use the DaVinci syrups technically. I used the flavors themselves, but couldn’t find the inclination to use the product that inspired this fic challenge while I was writing them. So you’ll find diff products here that have the same flavors as was prescribed for each character.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, the cake Faye supposedly baked in this fic is an actual refrigerator cake that FOOD magazine featured a few months back in one of their issues. It as the cover pic for that particular issue and it caught my fancy enough that I intended to use it for Russ’ fic the moment I read about it. It really is supposed to taste THAT good. I wouldn’t know since I haven’t tried making it yet. Have to find real hazelnuts first that I can bake with.
