in the back of the bus

there's a girl all in black

with a tear in her eye

and a notebook on her lap

she looks up and around

and smiles a sad smile

while the tear in her eye own

slides slowly her cheek

i wish i could hear her thoughts

could think what she thinks

suddenly she looks up

and see a girl she seems to know

with dark hair like hers

but eyes almost yellow

and filled with phoney concern

to hide what she longs to really say

this girl in black she hides

in the back of the bus

hiding i find

from a world she should trust
