Unrequited Love

She sighs

He dreams of her

And he’s oblivious to it all

She dreams of him

He watches her with longing

He’ll never even know her name

She whispers his name in the darkness

He only sees her smile

And he drinks in all the while

A chance meeting

Could bring the two of the together

But would it rip the other two apart?

To choose would certainly be easy for her

The boy wishes she knew how he felt

And the other smiles knowing he got the girl

Yes, he did

She loved him and he tolerated her

And the other boy, the one who loved her, knew

There is no happily ever after.
