Another Night's Thoughts
By Lady E

in contemplation
sometimes I wonder if it's not
all a cliché—
this world.
this life.
who I am.

I stand on two feet
and wish I could fly.

I watch other people
and envy their lawns.

I smile with my lips
and wish for tomorrow.

I dream great dreams
and ask for the answer to life.

If I were chosen to step outside the Box
I would not make it.
I'd fall back
on those age-old clichés,
uniform creativity.

A safety net for life.

Thanks for reading!
