Keeping secrets

A lovers end

'It was just to save you'

She'd dispend

Like a slot machine

She ate your heart you gave

Feeding you her lies in turn

A winding road of despair she did pave

Long ago, Deep inside she broke

Living out her play

She couldn't help but hide

The past left her afraid

So many stupid things she did

Didn't share for fear you'd hate

So she molded herself into you

Hoping it would sedate

Too bad for her, for she was caught

Didn't realize the pain she brought

She never meant to hurt you

All she sought was to protect

You may not realize that

But you're not one to inspect

When you hurt, you seethe

No second thoughts given

You just take control of the wheel

Wishing you had driven

She begs for you to see her mistake

Wishing she could retake

But your pain goes deep, a wounded soldier

Lost a valiant war with her

Too blind to see why

Leaving her to cry
