To Die, To Live: Explanatory Chapter
I decided to do this because the following poems have a really deep back-story that could not be explained in the summary. Here is a brief explanation of that story. The guy believes that his true love died a long time ago. She was actually living as somewhat of an assassin, always hiding her face behind long hair. However, she has no free will as she is under a spell that only allows her to do her master’s bidding. If she disobeys, she becomes overcome by pain that gradually increases, slowly killing her. She fears death and obeys her master, wishing to someday gain back her freedom and free will. Yet, deep down she realizes that the only way to achieve this is through death. Then, she is ordered to kill the man who was once her true love. She still has feeling for him and thus flat out refuses to do it, while trying to hide her identity from him. This incident is explained in the following poems from both points of view. Please review the poems as I hope you enjoy them. -KMK
