Character Poems

By: KenshinaMisaoKatsumi

These poems will depict the feelings of original characters that I have created for fanfiction. They haven’t really been used yet but they do each have their own back-stories. I don’t really want to go into them so I’ll just present the poems without any author’s notes in the future. I have seven original characters, but there will only be six poems here since To Die is a character poem that I posted with a similar poem. Oh, and this one was written to be a song so it’s a little repetitive.

Only Human (Mai Kiske’s character poem)

I sit here feeling the love in my heart

Knowing that with this man I’ll never part

And yet I always hear them say

These things can only happen one way

They’re only human, these feelings that I have inside

They’re only human, with my thoughts they do coincide

I feel pain, anger, love, and even lust

Supposedly these feelings are for humans just

What am I then, just an exception?

Infested by emotional infection

Cause they’re only human, they say that I am something less

They’re only human, these emotions they do progress

I know now the things that humans feel towards me

It fills me with such pain and misery

This world, it needs a different state of mind

If only humans were somewhat more kind

But they’re only human, it’s part of the way that they live

Since they’re only human, so very few know how to give

Why am I different from those around me?
I’m not human, that’s all they seem to ever see

They say I’ll never be like them

How come I’m full of all these feelings then?

They say it’s only human, only they can feel things inside

If it’s only human then why is it my love that I can’t hide?
