This seems to be my day for posting things I wrote for physics class. Not the deepest sonnet ever written, but I do like the way parts of it sound.

An Ode to Harmonic Motion
A harmony is formed when people sing,
But harmony is used in physics too,
Harmonic motion is this thing with springs,
And pendulums fall also in this queue.
An object in harmonic motion wends
To and fro between the left and right,
Equal time on each these sides it spends,
You should see this, it is quite the sight.
Equilibrium will play its part,
In this harmonic path that we will tread,
This is the point ‘cross which the object darts,
As back and forth it weaves its dulcet thread.
Harmonic motion, physics at its best,
Thank the gods that with it we are blessed.
