Things Girls Do Translated Into Guy Language

Ok, now onto the crazy subject of dating. Are we all caught up after the last chapter? Yes? Good. Alright. ONWARD!

Alright guys, here comes the “asking the girl out” routine. Now, when you finally figure out that you really like a girl and you want to ask her out, do NOT do it in front of your buddies or her friends. Her answer may change just because there is pressure from your or her friends who are around. Instead, go up to her, ask her if you could ask her something alone, and just get away from all other friends for a minute. Once you get her alone (and I don’t mean in an empty room or something suggestive like that. I mean away from her or your friends by enough feet so they can’t hear you and they're not paying attention.) there are a few waysyou can ask her to be your girlfriend. One of them, and my personal favorite, is to act shy while asking them out (which I taught my boyfriend whether or not he believes it). So what you do is look down at the ground and fiddle with your jacket or something before asking the question, then take a deep breath, and ask herthe question while looking into her eyes. No matter what you do, you must stareher in the eye when asking them to go out with you. That letsher know that you’re being truthful withher and not just pullingher leg. Ifshe say no, then just say ok, and walk off. However, ifshe say yes, do whatever you want except kiss them! Don’t do that till you and the girl are both ready!

Now there are some guys in this world who are so sure that they can get any girl in the worldthat itends up scaring girls away from them. I'm not saying that you’re like this; I'm just saying that there are guys (and girls) who just think that they’re better than everyone else. For example, I know this guy, let’s call him Ted, who was so narcissistic that he thought he could get every girl he wanted to because he was “so damn hot”. Boys, this is a MAJOR turn off to girls. Ted however, did not pick up on this, and still hasn’t. So guys, if you are like this, and you’re wondering why you can’t get a girlfriend except for the extremely desperate ones, then hopefully you have now picked up on why.

Dating…now doesn’t this word strike terror into your hearts. But honestly, they aren’t that big of a deal. You just have to know what to do. First off, don’t dress in a tux or some suit unless you are going to a wedding or a very, very expensive restaurant (which you shouldn’t do unless you’re proposing in my opinion, maybe even not then. Some girls are intimidated by those). Just wear what you would usually wear, maybe some nicer clothes, but don’t stress on looking your best. Girls may get dressed up, but if they see that you are looking as you usually do, then they will feel less pressured to look their best.

Next step: where to go. If you don’t have a car yet or are unable to drive, then just do something simple. Walk down to the nearest ice cream shop, go to one of your houses,or go to the park to hang out. Just have fun with what you have. Now if you do have a car, maybe go out to see a movie, go out for lunch or dinner at some place that you both like, and just have fun with your time together. Here’s a tip for places to go: It does NOT matter to the girl where you go. She wants to be with you and as long as she is, she’d even be happy going with you to your favorite concert or just even sitting in one of your back yards and talking. Anything you do will be ok with her.

If you guys can’t see each other as often as you’d like, then call each other whenever you can and just talk. Girls love to talk (as you’ve probably noticed) and they love to hear your voice. So call them up, ask them about their day, and just chat with them about anything and everything there is. And if you ever run out of things to say, start up a game of Truth or Truth (its Truth or Dare with only truths because you can’t do dares over the phone very well). You’ll be surprised how much you can learn about a person playing that game.

Now last but not least, everyone’s least favorite subject, cheating. NEVER EVER CHEAT ON YOUR GIRLFRIEND (or boyfriend for those girls out there)!!! Everyone knows it happens, but it makes someone feel miserable because of it. If you are in a relationship, and find that you like someone else and maybe they like you too, then don't keep your present girlfriend hanging. The longer you drag it out when your heart isn’t in it, the longer she will be in pain and confusion. The same goes for girls, so don’t think I'm just saying that only guys do this. So if you find you’re feeling the above, then end the present relationship. If you don’t have feelings for your girlfriend, don’t keep the relationship because you are scared of hurting her feelings, because you’re doing that by keeping the relationship. No matter what anyone says, honesty is the key to any relationship.
