Dancing at Midnight

Late at night
When everyone is asleep
We'll sneak out to the forest
Past all the houses and lights

Bring your flashlight, it'll be dark

You bring the rock music
And I'll bring my dancing shoes
We'll move like wraiths between the trees
And sing along to the crude songs

Grab my hand and twirl me 'round and 'round
We dance like madmen (or in my case, madwoman)
We've escaped from the looney bin
C'mon, we'll celebrate

We reek of stolen rum and wanton youth

We're tone-deaf, we know
But we sing along anyway
Messing up half the lyrics
But our hearts are in the right place

Collapsing on the ground
Panting heavily and sweating like pigs
You give me that look
And we plan for tomorrow night

You bring the rock music and I'll bring my dancing shoes
