I remember one morning in May

You spent the day away

Reckless fun drove through your veins

And there was nothing I could say

I was just sorry that

I wasn’t there to hold your reins

To stop what lay ahead

But,

You’ve been given one more chance

You’ve been through the white halls

So different

Compared to the usual malls

I’m just so glad your okay

I hope it’ll stay this way

You pulse beating again

Your smile returning

To that sickly white face

My head was no longer spinning

So,

Don’t spend today so fast

That you don’t know what’s going on

For soon it will be gone

Like yesterday is gone

Like last Saturday is gone

Like last summer holiday is gone

Don’t let it slip through your fingers

We we’re meant to live for so much more

But no one cared

Only to cry and grief later

On those short moments we had shared

Now I sat

Tear faced,

Anguished

The blood laced

Around my hands

Your head rested on my lap

You never listened

Once more you’ve wasted

A summer day

Came once and has gone away

This time you wont awake

I’ll never forget

The time when we met

The time was set

But that day has gone

Like today will be gone

Like my hopes are now gone

Like you would be gone

Like I will soon be gone
