Trapped in Night
Hot tears streaked her face,
And her heart lost its pace,
And her grandeur became greatly disembodied.
As she looked around,
She neither heard or made a sound,
As she was lost in the manifolds of humanity.
Her body started to quake,
A singe tear; like a snow flake,
And her soul set afire.
She turned to run,
To find the never-present sun,
But through the dark, she only saw the cage of hurt.
