Hell Found Me
By Darthen
Hell found me. Again. How annoying that was, especially for me. This time, Satan didn't send his usual lackeys, perhaps he is getting smarter. It's sad that it takes him millennia to figure out that demons can't stop someone like me; I am much too powerful, and hell has toughened me quite a bit.
I looked upon the figure in front of me, his beautiful body shining in the light cast by the stained glass of the cathedral. He hung levitating twenty feet in the air with his arms spread wide in a gesture of peace. Peace? What a fool. His lush blonde hair came down to the middle of his back and his piercing blue eyes looked down upon me, peering into my soul. Wearing skin tight white clothes and heavy white boots he was blinding in the light. His pale white skin almost matched his clothes and his twenty foot wingspan was spread eagle in the air. I saw a faint halo around his head that reminded me of my own lost aura.
Indeed he was different from me in almost every way. The only thing we had in common was our pale white skin. Millennia in Hell will do that to a person. I wore the clothes of a protestant minister, not because I thought of them as God haters, but because I found that the clothing suited me. I hated that white collar though, and had immediately torn it off when I took these clothes. I remember when my hair was as beautiful as his, just as long, just as blond, with that stunning sheen. And my eyes! My eyes were once blue as well! Alas, Hell had changed me quite a bit since then.
"So, Satan sends Samael, the angel of death himself, to protect Jehovah from my wrath." I smiled revealing my vampiric teeth as I addressed the angel.
"The Lord does not need my protection, Lucifer. He is the most powerful being of all. He is power." Samael returned in calm soothing tones. My voice was once that calm and soothing. Now I had only gravel and rocks for my tones. Millennia in Hell will do that.
"If He was so omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, then you would not be here right now. You were replaced by Michael, no? Michael was always so much more peaceful than you; you did His dirty work, but Michael is a protector, not a destroyer like you. Why would god change his mind from being violent to being peaceful, my dear Samael?"
I knew his answer before he said it, "The Lord did not 'change his mind' as you so eloquently put it. I was necessary for the time period, revolutions were needed among the humans and I was there to help them along. Then I was no longer necessary and Michael was. I am not forsaken as you seem to be implying, Morning Star."
"You are not forsaken? Don't make me laugh, Samael. Have you forgotten your sinful wife?" I knew that would get him. How could it not?
"You will hold your tongue concerning Lillith!" He flung out his arm and a blue bolt of lightning came straight for me. It was no matter as I chuckled and turned to my side. The blue energy flew past me and blasted several rows of pews all the way to the front of the cathedral a hundred feet away. With a quick flick of my wrist a red spike erupted from my hand and found its way into his chest, the force of the impact drove him to the wall of the cathedral and the hell-spike nailed him to the stone.
"I picked up a couple things in Hell," I stated as I walked up to him, his silver blood dripping down the wall to the floor, pooling around my feet. "You get so worked up over nothing, over a simple thing like forsake. Being forsaken is nothing you miserable shit. Have you ever been to Hell? Have you ever had your wings burned off by the searing flames of The Inferno? Have you ever felt them scorching your long beautiful hair until it was up to your shoulder, black, and burnt? Have you ever had your eyes, which once were luminescent with beautiful light, turn to black holes? NO! You have never felt any of this pain!" My rage formed a dark aura around me as my black hair began to lift with the power.
I focused my energy and threw it at him. Like that, I blinked him out of existence. Indeed I was powerful now. You're next, Jehovah.
End.
First: Lucifer and Satan are not the same being. It is always misconceived that they are the same, or even that Satan is evil. No, Lucifer is the evil one. Lucifer questioned God and tried to overthrow him. He lost his little war and was banished to Hell for eternity. Satan is one of the Archangels who does what God has told him to do. Satan's job is to weed out the non-believers and seperate them from the true believers through temptation or other such things. He is not evil, he merely does his job.
Second: Samael is the angel of death and was once the overseer of earth before Michael took that post. During Samael's "reign" he brought about many revolutions, such as The English, American, and French revolutions, and this was a time period of great blood shed. His wife, Lillith, was the original woman brought to Adam in the garden of Eden. However, they had a fight over who should be on top during sexual intercourse and Lillith was banned from Eden. Samael fell in love with the woman and they married. It should be noted that Lillith is oftenattributed to the death of children and babies, it is sort of what God told her to do, more or less.
If I am off on any of these things, I would love for people to inform me, I love the whole angel heirarchy thing. Oh, and please review.
