African Windsong by writerforever
Lush and green
Whispers of peace echo on the wind
I can hear them
They are calling to me
In this strange new world
That I have come to love
I have found a peace
Found in the most unlikely place
And in the most unlikely of creatures
Sitting among them
I feel safe
Memories of my old life
In America haunt me at times
But that life I no longer wish to live
Here among the Mt. Gorillas
I am at peace
Africa is my home
If I dare go away from it
I can hear it's beckoning call
It is a wind song
Whispers, the gorillas, all in the wind
I cannot escape from it
I am forever a willing servant
To the wind song
The wind song of Africa
And the gorillas
Windsong….
Can't you hear it?
