Pathetic Life

You brought me hope in this life of insanity,
Bringing me joy and peace, love and serenity.
Living a pathetic life,
Enhanced by your presence.

Now it draws closer,
To the unchanging date.
Our hearts are beating faster,
Is it really just too late?

Prepare for the worse,
And hope for the best.
It's the most that they could say,
Apart from, "This is a test."

It once felt like eternity,
Nothing would come between us.
But even eternity has its turning points,
With our souls as the pivots.

Now all that I hope for,
Is for us to be together again.
To continue unanimously,
With each other for support.

For I know we can't live without the other,
Life is short, let's just not bother.
Hearts are broken, time has taken
Its toll on us.

Pressure and feelings collide,
Causing a plethora of emotions.
Let's ice it down a little,
Before we start to think of what's to come.
