Sunset upon My Window

Finally, the sun has set
Bringing an orange tint to the horizon

I sit by my window
Looking out, far away

The sun descends, slowly, steadily
Like a snail, crawling on its belly

I reminisce, looking for you in my memories
You exist everywhere

Looking downwards
I recall an event, one of happy emotions

I smile, as the tears flowed
Tracing a path below my eyes, down my cheek, and onto the ground

I dream that you'll return one day
But until then, I'll just be another friend
Hoping to catch you by a rainbow someday
