Created between adult and child

Male and female

Even between two friends

But why?

Is it our fears that hold us back?

And if so, what are we afraid of?

Being hurt?

Pain is a part of life, and surely,

as with everything else,

with increased exposure comes greater resilience.

Do we distance ourselves to protect our pride?

Or perhaps it’s a case of

not wanting to bother each other ‘unnecessarily’?

Life is hard

That’s the truth

And no one can do it alone.

Why do we then separate ourselves from those who love us?

Why do we choose the hard path?
