Disclaimer: I do not own the movie Shakespeare in Love. (Not even a copy of it! How pathetic is that? Ah, well. C’est la vie.)
A/N: This poem is based on what I envisioned at the end of the movie. If you haven’t seen Shakespeare in Love, go see it! It’s really good, all you gotta do is fast forward through the super mushy parts. Or watch it on tv. (There aren't any sex scenes when they air it on tv.)

Shakespeare in Love
By NewSalemWitch

The heroine-- bound for a new land
The Shipwreck-- all are drowned, save the girl whose spirit is stronger than even the sea's
Cast upon a distant shore,
Wet, bedraggled, and desperately heartsore
Her husband may be a soul lost at sea,
But her love is safe and sound, tho many miles behind her
She dreams of him at night,
His final words to her,
"You will never age, nor fade, nor die for me."
And hers to him,
"Nor you me."
Upon the inside of her eyelids a portrait has been engraved.
Her love stands tall and proud, arms held out to welcome her home.
His hair is unkempt, hands stained with ink,
But his eyes are clear with love.
Her Will.
