The elves were the gods' first creations, though, they were not the first being to walk Egeria's world. They were not created in the same manner as the other beings the gods created later on. The gods wanted something different, something special for these creatures that would rule Egeria and be the guardians of all the other beings created.

It began with Sorbos, leader of the gods. He started by molding them from the white sands of the Luminori’s beaches, the most beautiful shores in all Egeria. The white sands were like silk as the grains slid smoothly through the god's fingers. With simple command, he made the sand stand and take shape. He would mold them in a shape similar to his own before he became a god of Egeria.

The music of the water and warm pulse of the sun's light inspired him as he continued to work the sand into the desired shape. The other gods watched and waited to see the results. Sorbos wanted these being as perfect as he could, just short of god-like. They would be tall and statuesque, but nimble. The woman would have apt curves without ruining their lithesome figure and the men would be chiseled without any unnecessary bulk. Their bodies would be toned, yet their skin would be smooth, soft, and flawless.

The god molded and shaped with such loving hands, as mother cradles her babe nuturingly against her bosom. The other gods were in awe of the lovely figures forming before them. The sandy creatures were given the slightly longer and pointed ears that the gods’ father races had on their once-home world. As Sorbos began to create their lovely tresses, he called upon the glow of the sun and the daystar filtered its warm ray of light into the sandy locks of hair until they shined with a golden resilience unlike any other. The other gods nodded their approval.

The lone gods continued his work, until every detail was perfected and his masterpieces were nearing completion. There was only one detail left to add. The eyes. He wanted them to have eyes like the water. Deep blue to show how profound they would be but also shades of bright blue for their radiance. Eyes that would shine like the water on sunny day and darken when angered as the water did during a storm. Water was the symbol of wisdom where he was from, so he wanted that wisdom to reflect in the eyes of his ultimate creation. He wanted these being to be connected in all aspects of nature and have the knowledge and understanding to rule justly over the lesser being of the world.

And so, Sorbos called upon the ocean, shining in all its brilliance under the dazzling sun to gather all her beauty and intelligence, and he set what the water gave him in the eyes of his first creations on Egeria, the elves. This would be the race that commanded the elements with an astuteness and passion that he would give to them from his own being. The other gods were so impressed by the beings that they wanted to create elves of their own, but with their own traits and abilities. With Sorbos’ permission, the other gods took some of the molded figures created by Sorbos and altered them with different traits and different magicks and wisdom. Although one of their kind was missing, the Huntress, her daughter, Ravyn, changed a race of her own in her mother’s stead.

When all the gods had finished with their elven races, they went on to create other beings reminiscent of the ones they knew on their home planet, but with slight changes to adapt to the new planet they were living on. Soon, Egeria was busy with new life and new creatures that inhabited the planet with their new found vigor for life. The gods were pleased and left the beings to evolve and grow at their own pace, only interfering when they felt it necessary or when they wished to insight some change in the world.
