Control in Doses

Prozac for this, Valium for that,

Fen-Fen killers for those who are fat.

We’re a bunch of fucking zombies all walking around,

Blindly following the politician who let his mistress go down.

Bloodshot eyes, but not the eyes that are colored, the ones in our soul,

We reject, but feed on, ultimate control.

Heartless smiles and fake-ass waves,

We slowly crawl to our corporate graves.

Everyone is on Ritalin,

So we’ll just spoon-feed them happy souls, they’ll think they fit in.

It’s a whole society on watered-down-hyper-condensed-pill-sized-bullshit,

All to make sure Daddy won’t hit…

Again.

Why can’t we just enjoy the rain?
