Jayson

If you can’t wait for me, then I can’t waste my time on you,

You don’t even know me; you don’t know what I’ve been through.

I really thought you were different, I thought I saw something in your eyes,

I thought it was sincerity, I guess it was just another disguise.

It’s really sad that you aren’t the person I thought you were,

It’s a good thing I found out now, before I got myself hurt further.

Now do you see why I wanted to wait to give you my heart?

Now you don’t have the chance to rip it all apart.

I gave it up at the beginning all the other times before,

Then wondered why it never worked and we both become bored.

I have learned to wait, enjoy the suspense,

Space it out over time, it doesn’t have to be that intense.

Maybe one day someone will show you: Some things are worth the wait,

I tried to show you that, but you didn’t have enough room on your plate.

You couldn’t wait for me, so I’m not wasting my time on you,

This way you aren’t added on to the list of heartbreaks I’ve been through.
