on moonless nights
it rests upon her windowsill
the air is charged of essence
that is sexual
she needs to feel his body
just to feel that thrill
if they both go to hell
it seems it's just as well

his eyes are full of something
that resembles lust
says that "it's not just within you,
but in the both of us.
we've abandoned all our morals,
and destroyed everyone's trust
i'm not sorry we can't stop this
though the others say we must"

chorus:
he's an addiction
she has created
pulsing, throbbing heat
that fuels the center of her soul
a damaged maker
that wants to use her
they use each other
it's just deception

they can't stop making lies up
for the days ahead
and saying things they otherwise
should not have said
it's momentarily forgotten
in their lover's bed
but after that he resumes the job
of fucking with her head

their relationship is twisted,
and eventually dies
she can't handle all the anger
and his alibis
he can't stand her whining
now they realize
their undoing was foretold
within their lust filled eyes
chorus:
he's an addiction
she has created
pulsing, throbbing heat
that fuels the center of her soul
a damaged maker
that wants to use her
they use each other
it's just deception

don't let him draw you in
because you might not get back out
and if you do,
you might forget the things
that real love's all about
so when he tells you lies
so he can take your innocence away
just remember that i'll love you
so much longer than today
