Longest Chapter EVER! And yes, I made this Part: One. Too many chapters to keep going, so the next story wil be part 2! But anyway, here's a new and long chapter! I did some new things with this one, hope you like it!

Chapter Thirty-Five-Ryoma Flametongue

“I WAS BOOOOOOOOOOOOORN TO BE WIIIIIIIIIIIIILD! DA DA DADAAAAAAAAAAAAADADA!” Yup, that’s me. Singing my heart out, and singing the ears off just about everyone in the room that I was locked in. Having nothing better to do, I decided I would sing as loud and as off-tune as I could, just to make my guards mad.

“Are you sure he’s not drugged?” One of the midgets in the room asked the other.

“Yes, he’s been off the drugs for several days.” The other midget replied. “I think he’s just doing that naturally…”

“BORRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNN TO BE WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILDDD!” I screamed as loud as I could. You see, these guards were not stupid, smart enough to not place the keys within range of my rather large tail. And since I tried everything else, and today was the day I was going to be sacrificed, I figured I might as well annoy the hell out of them, just for fun.

“Geez, when’s he getting sacrificed?” Midget Numbah 1 asked Midget Numbah 2.

“In about a half hour, thank God.” Midget Numbah 2 replied to Midget Numbah 1.

So, I sang and screamed as loud as I could, for the last half-hour of my life. And in that half-hour, I thought about Miyako. I hope she’s ok. I bet that stupid social worker didn’t take her away. If he did…I’ll rip him apart. Of course, I will make sure to get no unnecessary bloodshed. And none will fall on my house, I’ll make sure to do it to my neighbors. Heh heh.

After my half-hour of living was up, 2 more midgets joined the first 2 midgets and brought some huge chains to attach my paw/hand cuffs, and drag me down to the area of sacrificial death or something like that. You, it’s actually kinda pathetic that I was held in a cage/cell/thing made out of iron bars. Most dragons can break through that. But, I’m far from a normal dragon and those bars were skillfully made. They were very heavy and dense and no one could really break them. Stupid midgets and their stupid ability to make stupid cages that stupid dragons can’t stupid break stupid through.

Anyway, I was led out onto a rather large stage-ish thing, and was placed onto a type of table. I was rather cruelly strapped down, with more iron bonds holding me down, including one on my muzzle, er, nose. Do we dragons have muzzles or noses? I guess it’s like the paw/hand thing. I’ll probably never know. Eh, maybe I’ll learn someday.

Oh, you wanted to get back to the story? Ok then, some very important looking midget was talking. “What we have here, is a dragon named Ryoma Flametongue.” And I’ll point out that he said my name wrong. “He did horrible deeds to us, which, as I’m sure you know, was causing a huge cave-in where many of us work on a daily basis.”

I would have said something rude and vulgar, but my mouth does fall into the place that was strapped down. “There is no doubt in my eyes, or in God’s, that this dragon is guilty of several hundred murders, just due to the cave incident alone.” I did more than that? “So, the only punishment that can be done, is to take the life of this dragon, in the most slow and painful way possible.” Much cheering was heard.

“We will cut him up into little tiny pieces, using our dwarven claws, and make him into a huge stew for everyone to enjoy!” GASP. “Now, now. We have a speaker today, this dwarf lost a-“ Wait a minute! I was gonna be tunred into a stew?!?!?! I couldn’t become a pizza or something, A STEW!? Geez, how boring was that.

Garik Bronzedigger

I was standing on the side as they brought out that huge dragon. He really was quite large. I would guess maybe 50-60 feet at the least? And…he didn’t seem like a bad creature. He was struggling, but…I’m not sure. He just didn’t so bad.

I was thinking about what that centaur had told me. He seemed to know some things I didn’t, and while I didn’t mention it to Kathira or Keira or anyone else, I had been thinking about it a lot. Maybe our evidence isn’t good enough against him? Maybe we were wrong, and he was right?

“Now, now, we have a speaker today, this dwarf lost a daughter in that horrible cave-in, and he has agreed to speak on our behalf, and offer a prayer to god for us. I introduce, Mr. Garik Bronzedigger!” some cheering was heard, but it was obvious most of the dwarves were in their old barbaric ways and wanted some kind of dragon stew.

I was in my best suit, Kathira said I looked really good tonight. I saw her, holding Keira in the audience, cheering with the rest of the dwarves, and they both seemed so happy that I was up here. I waved a little bit, being very comfortable in front of crowds since my high school days, and took the podium where the minister had just spoken.

Looking around the room, I saw just how many dwarves were there. It must’ve been every single dwarf in Dwarf Country here and they all seemed to want some stew. I saw several torches on the stone walls, as we were in a cave, and took a deep breath before beginning.

But, I suddenly got lost in thought, as I glanced at the dragon, who seemed to be very emotionally upset. I think he was crying. And who wouldn’t be, his life was about to end. But still, I felt bad for him, and I thought about the centaur again. I was getting a headache, and the room was totally silent, everyone was waiting for me to begin.

“Brothers and sisters, we have here today a dragon who was accused of horrible crimes. He has been tried, and found guilty. I attended that courtroom, and…” I took a pause, this was it. I don’t know why I was going to do what I was, but I felt that something needed to be done. And, I guess UI was to do it. “I feel that the trial was unfair.” Several gasps were heard, and Kathira looked horrified.

Lucas

I don’t know how or why Josh forced me into this, but no sooner had we landed in Dwarf Country, we were off to a ‘sacrifice’ to see one of Flonne’s friends.

“Josh, we need to get ready for the next flight, it leaves in an hour.”

“Lucas, we need to help Flonne out, this is the last person she has as a friend. We need-“

“Josh, I don’t care about Flonne’s needs, nor do I care about yours. I need you to get to Vamporia, and that’s that.”

“And we will, as soon as we see Flonne’s friend.”

We were running down a deserted dwarven city. I hate Dwarf Country, everything feels dirty or covered in dirt. And the lack of technology sickens me. But, the fact that no one was about was…unnerving.

“Josh, I’m not going to save some person in distress, I only want to get you to-“

“Would you boys SHUT-UP? We’re almost there!” Flonne said, running ahead. We vampires may be able to jump high, but the elves could run faster, and they always seem to think they’re better than us because of it. “The flight attendant said it would be taking place…here!” And she stopped in front of a huge church, with dwarves packed inside it, and many crowding on the outside. Great…A huge church filled with dwarves.

Though the church was a very pretty sight. High towers, in a very gothic style, dark black outside with stained glass windows and the like. Personally, I hate that kind of style, but to those who like it, it was a very impressive sight.

“You’re friend is inside there?!” I asked Flonne in disbelief. “I guess so…” She said, running up to a dwarf. “This is crazy.” I muttered to myself, and started to head back to the airport.

“Lucas! Where are you going?” Josh called.

“To Vamporia, with or without you.”

“And just leave Flonne’s friend here?” Then I saw him put on a sly grin. “If I don’t show up, then what will the Head Vampire do to you?” I stopped dead. He’s slightly smarter than he looked, I was hoping he would come with me, but I was wrong.

“Uh…fine. We help Flonne’s friend…I guess.”

“Good.” Josh said, as I came back over to where he was. So did Flonne. She seemed to be on the verge of tears.

“He’s being sacrificed, because they found a chip he made in the caves where a huge cave-in occurred.” A tear rolled down her face. “He doesn’t make explosive chips or bombs. Just computer chips.”

My lawyer side came got the better of me here. “So, they’re going to kill someone because they found something he made in a cave?” Flonne nodded. I sighed. Anyone could see that the evidence was about as conclusive as finding someone’s jacket at a crime scene. Enough to be a suspect, not enough to convict.

“Lucas, we need to do something.” Josh said, and though I didn’t want to admit it, we did. Someone who was innocent could be murdered today.

“Yes, Josh we do. Come with me.” I said, formulating a plan as I went.

Joshua McMillian

I couldn’t believe how heartless Lucas was being. He’s only going to help because someone that’s innocent could be murdered. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to have him help, but I couldn’t believe he almost left. Didn’t he care about Flonne? Well, I guess not, he doesn’t care about much. But still…

He pushed his way through a crowd of dwarves, who were drunk and yelling. Flonne was asked by many dwarves to go home with them, but they got a sharp kick in between the legs. She was a feisty one, and I like it!

“Hello, my name is Lucas. I’m a lawyer. I demand, as my right given to me by the Head Vampire of Vamporia, to see the charges of which Mr. Ryoma Flametongue is charged.” Lucas had found someone that seemed to be in charge and flashed a lawyer’s badge. The dwarf laughed at him.

“Charges? Excuse me, but he has already been tried and found guilty.” The dwarf said coldly.

Lucas replied just as cold. “I demand to see the transcript of the trial.”

“Transcript? Dwarves don’t have any transcripts, and God is our witness.”

“That’s wonderful. Unless I see a transcript, I will report this to the world court, and the dwarves will be in a huge amount of trouble.”

The dwarf narrowed his eyes. “You know, I don’t think it’ll matter, for you see, the dragon will be chopped up as soon as the guy there stops speaking.” I heard Flonne wimper next to me, and I put my arm around her, to comfort her. Lucas started yelling at the dwarf, but got nowhere, and suddenly a huge gasp was heard outside the room. Something unexpected must’ve happened in the courtroom.

Ryoma Flametongue

YEAH! I LOVE THAT DWARF! WAY TO SUGGEST I’M INNOCENT! MY BESTEST FRIEND RIGHT THERE! I LOVE YOU!

Uh…now that I’m done thinking about that, I must admit that the dwarf made quite a stir. There was a huge silence that was deafening when he said those words, and he was VERY quickly ushered off the stage. He was thrown into the crowd, and it seemed that every dwarf around him hated him. A female dwarf with a young female dwarf was talking to him furiously, it must be his wife. I’m gonna find his address and send him chocolates everyday for as long as I live.

Which may not be that much longer. The minister came back on stage. “Mr. Bronzedigger has had a very rough time dealing with the pain of losing his daughter. He’s probably delusional and needs to go home.”

“NO! I MEANT WHAT I SAID!” I heard Bronzedigger yell across the stage. “I FEEL THE DRAGON IS INNOCENT!”

But the minister ignored him. He then grabbed the biggest knife I had ever seen. “But now, it’s time for some dragon stew!” And I could only think about how much this will hurt tomorrow.

Flonne Heavens

I can’t believe I’m about to lose Ryoma too! I need someone to be there! Anyone! But he’s the only one I have left. I can’t let him die, I just can’t! I had my weapon in my pocket, and I would fight if I had to. So, I broke away from Josh’s arm (which really helped me feel better) and ran off into the crowd of dwarves, leaving Lucas yelling at the dwarf at the front.

I tried to get way into the room, but it was packed full of dwarves and there was no room. However, I could see Ryoma on a stage thing strapped down. And I saw a minister holding a really big blade. A BIG BLADE?!

“Excuse me, what are they exactly going to do with him?” I asked a dwarf dressed in a nice suit near me.

“They are going to cut an innocent dragon into tiny pieces.” The dwarf said.

“Garik, DON’T SAY THAT!” A woman nearby said. I assumed she was Garik’s wife.

“But it’s true Kathira. I think that dragon is innocent!”

“He is.” I said. “He’s my good friend, and doesn’t do anything to anyone.

“See?” Garik told his wife.

“She’s an elf!” His wife said, and I was insulted. Very insulted. But, it didn’t matter, I tried to get up to the stage, but there was too many dwarves. And, the minister was lowering the blade towards Ryoma’s head. I wanted to do something I wanted-

I managed to follow Flonne, but lost her in the crowd. I didn’t know what to do! The dragon was about to die, our voices could barely be heard, and I felt totally helpless. 100 helpless. I thought of my options, I could use magic, though I wasn’t very good at, I could start gun slinging, only that would get me nowhere, and the blade came down quicker and quicker and-

Garik Bronzedigger

There had to be something that could have been done. But, Kathira kept bugging to change my mind. I was about to make a run for the stage, I needed to help that poor dragon. The blade just came closer. There had to be something I could do…there had-

Lucas

Why did I even bother with that dwarf! He was a total idiot! I should’ve just run inside, then I could have done something! But no! I had to waste my time with some moron! By running inside, I realized that the blade was falling. There was no way I could there, no way I could-

Ryoma Flametongue

OH MY GOD! I’M GONNA DIE! THIS IS IT! I’M DEAD! I’m so dead! The stupid midget was holding a huge blade over my head. I saw my life flash before me, Miyako, mom and dad, huge amounts of candy, Mr. Heavens, Flonne as a little girl, huge COOKIES, and many other more private things. And…Then…an angel was in front of me.

“Heaven?” I managed to say, since the angel cut the bonds on my face/nose/muzzle/thing. He turned towards me. He had long blonde hair, blue eyes, and white wings, just like every clichéd angel you hear about.

“Not quite, though I did just change your fate.”
