Love is patient, love is kind

so the old saying goes

Sometimes it seems the ones I love

can be my greatest foes

But a few harsh words, spoken in haste

can not be taken back

and a small decision I make today

can become tomorrow’s regret

I can look back, and hate myself

or I can simply say

What can I do to make tomorrow

better than today?

I can walk away instead of fight

talk instead of scream

Realize that things are not

as bad as they may seem

Though life still won’t be perfect

and I will still feel stressed

Patience, kindness and love, I’ll show

I promise, I’ll try my best
