Dark Mountaintop

Look up through the branches
At the shimmering stars,
weaving patterns of light
In the pale moonlit sky.

Breath in the air
Tinged a cool icy blue,
And feel its caress
Enveloping you.

Walk in the darkness
Cast by the trees,
As it dances with light
To the music of the breeze.

Look breath and walk
On the dark mountaintop,
And watch as the night
Brings time to a stop.
