The Hardest Part by: David Young 4 Christy Serritt

I lived through Hell for 3 long years

Before I saw the light

There’s still one thing that brings me tears

When I go to sleep at night

I don’t miss his drinking and drugs

I’m glad that no longer part of my world

But, it was just so hard for me

To leave that little girl.

The hardest part of leaving him

Was always knowing I would lose her

To never see my Angel again

That’s what truly hurt

The love was gone, but I held on

Because she held my heart

Leaving my Angel, that was the hardest part.

I still go and see her

But it tears me up inside

I watch her smile and laugh again

My love I just can’t hide

But no one knows the pain that’s in my heart

Knowing I have to leave her again

Is still the hardest part

The hardest part of leaving him

Was always knowing I would lose her

To never see my Angel again

That’s what truly hurt

The love was gone, but I held on

Because she held my heart

Leaving my Angel, that was the hardest part

Leaving my Angel, that was the hardest part.
