The temptation too strong

She tries to resist

She looks at the scars

All along her wrist

What if she just opened one

She could hide it so well

She'd have the familiar sting

And feel the familiar swell

She closes her eyes

And wishes it to go

She's so afraid

She doesn't want to hurt so

She tries to stop

All on her own

But truthfully she knows
