Boku wa chou o niau hoshigaru

(I want to become a butterfly)

Note on Title: It means 'I want to become a butterfly'. But It may be a bit incorrect, and if anyone finds any major mistakes I'll greatly appreciate it as long as you aren't an ass about it.

Eien ni Jokyoku
(prelude to forever)

The spirit world was open in Liminality and it's surrounding cities, no one ventured from the borders and nothing ever wandered in.

No one knew

In the northern corner of Liminality, early in it's forming, a clan of ga (moth) spirits kept themselves well hidden. Their numbers were dwindling and their power over the humans was waning. Not to mention their stand against the ruling Daimyou was weakening more by the minute.

They were doomed.

A son of a leading ga-spirit interacted closely with several of the competing Daimyou of the land, and he very much liked humans. His name was Onzhoushi, a wildly beautiful being with black hair, grey skin and lavender eyes. His wings seemed to accent his hair and eye colour, being blue written over in light shades of lavender.

The kind spirit fell for the fiery-tempered servant of one of the competing Daimyou, and after her master was assassinated he saved her from execution (being put in blame for helping kill the cruel bastard. She wasn't innocent, for the most part, having housed the Daimyou's killers knowingly). Her strange appearance and the spark in her eyes caught his attention. While other girls would sit like they were dead, follow without complaint, she wasn't one to sit and be stomped around upon. Semai kept her hair short and bright red, carried a dagger in her obi and fought back against her captors without guilt.

Onzoushi found interest in this. While most girls' spirits would break from that situation, Semai didn't seem to give up.

This was something that once existed in the thoughtful boy that was her son, something that kept part of him alive for the rest of his life.

Dai aged slowly but learned quickly, and was described as 'full of life' by his mother. But everyone knows how the stories of hanyou go. Nothing good can come to a half-human.

The rest of the clan was turned in upon themselves by one of the more powerful Daimyou trying to gain power. This one was different, no one knew who he was or how to catch him.

Dai watched his family die...and the humans turned upon him.

A tall man with dark moustaches found Dai on the side of a road in the town, dying. The humans saw him as the bringer of bad luck, and therefore he was attacked. He let the man take care of him, without question. The boy had nowhere to go, nothing to lose.

It couldn't get any worse...

Dai would have turned the man away if he would have known what the next forever might bring.

There's the prelude. I had serious trouble writing this, and I'm still not very happy with it. In my head it looks GREAT...as a doujinshi -.-'.
