Your Name on My Wrist
I thought about you today,
As a blue flower blossomed on my wrist
Your name appeared there,
In violet ink, all
Curls
And glitter,
So unlike you.
Golden specks marched in pairs
(I captured the image)
Watched them sparkle in the lamplight,
With the shades drawn
And I thought of you.
But tomorrow I know
I’ll wash my hands of this;
I’m moving on
(Blue purple green)
Gold water running down my wrist
Your name, blurred and smeared
And gone.
