Normally, she'd never believe his outrageous lies,
To why he'd been out late all night,

But an empty sorry and a look from his eyes,
And everything would be alright.

Then he came home one late Saturday with dark red lipstick stained on his collar,
He only asked, "How can you be so faithless?" and that he didn't want to be bothered.

She asked against the next night,
He turned and hit her in the eye.

He said, "I don't want to fight"
And left for a midnight drive.

He didn't return, so she slept alone,
Trying her best not to cry.

How could she be so faithless?
How could she be so faithless to him?
