Feeling ignored
Abandoned
Unwanted
The feeling's stupid
Pointless
Unfounded
And still it persists
Refuses to recede
You're the cause of this
I want to run
Tell you to go away
But then you I'd miss
You don't want me
Don't know me
Don't get how I'm feeling
We'll stay friends
Pretend there's nothing
But this isn't healing
I can't shut it off
Can't erase it
Or pretend I don't feel this emotion
You can't ignore this
Not for forever
Or say you haven't entertained the notion
We could be "us"
A couple
It can be you and me
But instead we're just
Me then you
And all I can do is let you be
