The Necklace

Prologue

By: An Angels Tears

She was such a pretty little thing, that young girl. Given a necklace for her fourteenth birthday, it was a small golden locket with a single ruby in the middle of it. It suited her well, that small necklace. It hung around her neck on a small golden chain, and she generally hid it underneath her shirt.

The truth about the necklace, though, was that it was dangerous. It was the necklace I had been sealed in, it was a cursed necklace. Whenever a person put the necklace on, their energy would slowly drain from their body, making them tired every single day. The more tired they became, the less energy they had, and soon it would drain their life. It was also enchanted in a way, to where if someone put it on, then took it off, they would want it back on right away. There wasn’t a day they could live without it, they had to have it. The necklace also made them extremely lucky, until they died of course.

If the person had enough energy, and strength, however, they would not die. It was life I needed to revive myself, to get out of that cold empty shell I was encased in. Many people would think it strange, a vampire locking himself in a necklace, which would take the life of the young women who always became so fond of it. Soon though, the necklace became a legend, and was again on the market, believed to be nothing but an innocent trinket.

Then that’s when Sana Smith came in.

Prologues are always so short when I write them. Oh well. I will write the first chapter, when I get ideas. I also have another idea for a story. Aieee! I’ll never finish anything at this rate!!!!!
