Maze

Prologue

An Angels Tears

In the darkness of the night, rain gently fell onto the ground. All was silent throughout the land, aside from the relaxing sound of the water splashing on the puddles. The black clouds swirled around, mixing with the gray clouds. When suddenly a terrible roar shot through the night, echoing in a mournful scream, as if the creator of the dreadful sound was on the last leg of life. Fire shot through the air as a once might beast fell to the ground. The dragon had many spears and arrows cut through its leathery wings, and more weapons punctured its scales, and went into its soft flesh. A few of its scales were missing.

Peaceful sleepers woke up as they heard a tremendous crash, then one of the most sickening cracks anyone could ever hear in their lifetime.

A mighty beast had fallen.

Villagers wandered out of their huts one by one, to see the sight. Once they saw it was dead they all raised their arms and cried in triumph and joy.

Though all hope seemed to be destroyed as a great terror happened, the dragon, with its last living breath, spat fire at all the humans. The screams of their pain and sorrow echoed through the night, and could be heard from miles around. Their flesh started to turn black, and fall off as they rotted in the heat. The dragon, however, was satisfied with their screams of pain, of horror, of sorrow, and gently closed its eyes, and died.

Mwahaha. I love dragons; it pained me to say that it died. I will type up chapter one in a little while I guess. I have it written in my notebook, just waiting to be typed up.
