Golden Pieces

Chapter Three

An Angels Tears

I watches the seconds tick by on the clock in my room. I wasn’t watching my computerized one, instead a nice old fashioned one. I watched it as it went “tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.” I was amazed, the seconds on a clock went so fast, and before you knew it, a minute had already passed by. Then five minutes, then twenty minutes, and then an hour. “Tick, tick, tick, tick.” That was all that you could hear from the clock. “Tick, tick, tick, tick.” I watched it, the second hand moving back up towards the twelve. It was like it was a swing, it would fall, and then go back up again, repeat. Fall, go back up again, repeat. And yet, the only noise that would come from the clock was “tick, tick, tick, tick.”

I turned my attention towards the outside, where a steady rain was falling. I walked over to my window and sat down in a chair by it, watching the rain hit my window. This had a different sound from the clock, instead of “tick, tick, tick.” It was “splat, splat, splash, splat.” I watched it and listened, at least this had two noises. I turned my attention towards my cat, which made no noise. I stared at it, how boring. I looked at my door, which was swinging back and forth slightly in the air conditioning, which should be off right now. After all, it was raining. Still, I stared at my door as it swung back and forth, ever so slightly, make a little “squeak, creek, squeak, creek, slam!” I jumped a little as it slammed closed. That was unexpected.

I walked over to the door, and opened it, then went out into the hall. I glared at the little gadget to turn off the air conditioning, and switched it off. I turned around to look away from the gadget by my door. Caia’s door was still closed. I frowned at that slightly, and then walked back into my room. I wonder who could even stay in a room that long? That’s just plain torture to yourself. There’s a whole entire world out there, just waiting for you to see it! Okay, I have to admit it this time, that sounded very corny. I mean seriously, waiting for you to see it? You’re the one waiting to see it! What is it with my corniness?

I walked downstairs and out into the front, onto the porch that is. I don’t really fancy getting wet you know. I suddenly noticed a little kitty out in the rain, its leg looked broken. I went out there and picked it up, “What happened to your owner kitty?” I asked the little black fur ball. I walked over to my car and opened the door, sitting inside. This cat needed to be taken to the vet, and after that, I knew just what to do with it.

--

I knocked on Caia’s door. “Caia? You there?” I heard a hurried “Yes” and then the door was opened. “What is it?” She asked, looking at me. I was sopping wet from the rain. “Caia, do you like cats?” She looked at me, and then warily said “Yes.” I smiled. “Good.”

I picked up the cat cage with the kitten from earlier today in it. It had a little blue cast on one of its legs, and looked positively adorable (to females at least). “Oh my gosh!” She said opening the cage to pick up the tiny kitten that was inside. “It’s so cute! Thank you.” She said smiling at me.

“You’re welcome.” I gave her the cage then left, smiling a little while picking up my cat brown tabby. I scratched it behind its ears. Then I looked down at the rest of it, unlike the little kitten I found, this cat was fat. “You’re spoiled rotten you know that?” I asked my cat, placing it on my bed, where it stretched right away and lied down. The lazy little thing.

I was walking out of the room when it meowed loudly at me. “What?” I asked it. It meowed again and rolled all over my bed. “You think you deserve to be pet now cat?” I asked it, stroking it’s velvety fur. It looked up at me lovingly, and I looked down at it. I had grown very fond of this cat in a very short time, I had gotten it for a birthday present four years ago. I stared at it still, “You’re still a brat you know.”

“Alex Dear! I’m home!” I heard a sing song voice call. Interrupting me from my “pet session”. I sighed, what could be worse. Your mom coming home, or a lazy cat? Maybe a girl who shut the door in your face? Nah, it didn’t matter, having your mom call you “Alex Dear” in a sing song voice was the worst of all. Especially when you were twenty. Maybe I should ask her to stop? Wait, last time I asked her to stop something she annoyed me with it until I said it was okay if she just did it a little bit. So, never mind.

“Okay Mom.” I shouted at her, stroking my cat a lot more then before. Just hearing that sing song voice made me want to scream at times.

--

I played with my soup, finding it meaningless to eat at the moment. I would stir it a couple of times clockwise, then go counter clockwise, clockwise, counter clockwise, oh you get the point. Basically, I was bored to death and I was playing with my food. Such a good influence aren’t I? I mean, they teach two year olds not to play with their food, and here I am, eighteen years later, and I’m playing with my food. I wasn’t hungry though, so why not play?

“I’m done.” I said standing up and leaving the already empty table, after all I had only sat there while everyone else ate. I walked up the stairs and sighed. I stared at my room’s door. I didn’t want to go to sleep yet. Suddenly I hear Caia’s door open behind me.

“Alex?” She asked

I turned around at her and smiled. “Yes Caia?” I asked. “What do you need?”

She looked at my pleasant smile for a second, then shuffled her feet a little. “Well.. Can you do me a favor please?”

--

Her body shifted under mine and moaned with pleasure. With that I knew our love would last.

I nearly gagged at this part of the movie, romance was not my thing. Caia had asked me to watch it with her, she appeared sort of lonely. I guess I would sit through this… What should I say? Horrible movie, yeah. That’s good. I would sit through this horrible movie so that she could feel better. Still, she could have picked a better movie. This was just disgusting!

The actors were horrible, the plot was horrible. This movie was lame! But, Caia seemed to be enjoying it. (I will always wonder how she enjoyed it.) I pet the small kitten, its fur was soft from being washed. It was curled up, all for the leg that was sticking out from under it due to its cast. The cat was a lot more interesting then the movie, that was for sure.

Suddenly, and finally, the movie was over. “I’m sorry.” Caia said. “I didn’t know what else to watch.” She said, putting a hand up to her mouth and blushing slightly. Her bangs hung over her eyes slightly.

I smiled as I set her kitten down on her sofa. “That’s alright Caia. I enjoyed petting your kitty.” I said while scratching the kitten’s head, and scratching it behind its ears. It was purring like crazy, and it was purring loudly. “Anyway, I have to call someone.” I walked out of the room. “I’ll talk to you later.” I said shutting her door.

I walked into my room and picked up my phone. “Yeah, Louis? What are you doing tonight?” I asked, looking at the clock. I was currently seven at night.

“Nothing.” I heard from the other line. “Why?”

“Mind coming over? I have someone I want to properly introduce you to.” I said, flipping through a book of mine and then throwing it onto my bed. “Are you able to come over?”

“Yeah.” Louis said. “Does fifteen minutes sound fine?”

“Yeah.” I said. “Okay, see you in fifteen minutes. Bye.” Then I hung up the phone.

--

“Caia!” I said, knocking on Caia’s door. “I have someone I want you to meet.” I said.

There was a rush and a loud “One moment. I’m not dressed.” From her room. Louis and I heard the banging of a wardrobe and a shower turning off. I looked over at Louis. “Oops…” I realized, I had caught her in the shower. We waiting about five more minutes until Caia yanked her door open. “Sorry.” She said, panting slightly. She was a bit damp.

“No, we’re sorry. I didn’t know you were in the shower.” I smiled. “Anyway, this is my friend Louis. Louis this is Caia, the girl that is currently living with us.” I decided to leave out a few details, no need to bring my crazy life into a simple introduction. I watched as they both shook hands and greeted each other.

“Okay.” Caia suddenly said. “I need to get back to my shower.”

I nodded. “Alright.” Then the door was shut in my face. “Well that was rude…” I muttered under my breath, unfortunately Louis heard me.

“Yeah, it was.” He whispered.

We both didn’t give a second thought about it and walked into my room.

There you go, third chapter written while I was sick. Sorry if it sucks. I don’t have much creative ideas when I’m sick, but I wanted to write. So, here it is. I’m going to be getting onto the big plot… SOMEDAY!!! Currently, I’m sick, but I do know what I’m going to do for the next chapter.

Because I don’t feel like listing all the usernames (Only four, how lazy!) because I’m coughing like crazy, and I don’t feel good, and I have a fever, then I’ll just say this in all one paragraph, or sentence possibly.

Thank you people for the reviews. I should be updating soon.
