Fingering seashells

Holding memory in my hands

The seashore beckons

Here in the City

Desiring the shoreline

Holding shells of a past

Seagull soars in flight

Away from comforting shore

Giving remembrance

My life like a shell

Empty and needing to soar

Seagull… water's dove

Waiting to return

To the vastness of the waters

To feel the Zephyr

To gather smooth stones

Cooling evening tide a waits

Casting stones… ripples
