A/N: The inspiration for this poem came from the cartoon-fairytale “Anastasia”. Hence the reference to rising again from the east in the last line – the name “Anastasia” really means “one who shall rise again”, you see.
-
Vive L’Amour!
-
Velvety rose petals suffused with desire,
Ice melts like one’s heart, consumed by love’s fire
Verses of love songs and gossamer shawls fine
Enchanted lovers sipping elegant wine…
-
Let us all come together and waltz through the halls
’tis the time for fairytales, love stories and balls!
Aphrodite ascends her silk throne and sings
My children, forget winter, think only of springs!
Of tulips and hummingbirds, and gold wedding rings!
Unleash your feelings and toast your champagne –
Rise again from the east, romance, and reign!
