As If They Know Her - Chapter Two: Junior, Josh, and Timothy
A/N:
Before I start, I'd like to say thank you for reviewing. (: And
reading this far, actually. That makes me happy. So, let me reply to
my reviews.
Anna:
Yes, Clara is very tortured. And, thanks for informing me, my writing
can be very choppy, and I need that pointed out. (:
Brena'z-Realm4eva:
Maybe it is. ;D Thanks.
TrinityFlower
of Memories: Thanks. But, Fletcher is the name of the guy that sat
behind me on the first day of school, in Algebra I. As you can see, I
tie parts of my life with Clara's life. XDD And, with Raya, it does
spell out Raha, but is based on the girl that I hang out with at
lunch. Raya is my friend Raeanne's nickname. XD I hope you do put
this on your favorites. (:
And
just to let you know, this is some of the weeks following. Ish. It's
not really the second day all that much.
Clara
looked at Josh Carter, the boy with red hair, who was sitting a row
in front of her, but not exactly directly in front of her.
"K,
H, Da, units, d, c, m." The teacher said to the class, writing
each letter down on the board, "Can anyone tell me what they
stand for?" she asked, looking around the classroom.
Clara
rolled her eyes, raising her hand, since no one else was. This was
literally seventh and eighth grade for her.
"Clara?"
the teacher, Ms. Jeray, called out, seemingly glad someone knew.
"Kilo,
Hecto, Deca, meters, grams, liters, then deci, centi, milli."
Clara said, a little "duh" in her voice.
"Yes,
very good." Ms. Jeray smiled, "We're going to be going over
that."
Clara
sighed, she was so bored of this teacher and the teacher acting like
the class was first graders. She took a peek over at Josh, who was
looking in her direction. The two quickly looked down at the same
time, though they didn't know it. Clara, unsure of whether to look
back at him, just acted like she was listening to the teacher's
lesson.
In
World History, the class was taking notes: as usual. The teacher, Mr.
Maynard, was so predictable. Clara knew what they were doing each and
every day, and knew she was bound to get very bored of it
someday. Once the notes were finished, the lunch bell finally rang.
Raya then dragged Clara to a table with two of her guy friends.
"Clara,
this is Ian, and Tim." Raya said, pointing two both of them.
"Hey,
I'm Clara," Clara said, smiling at both of them, a little unsure
of what to say.
Ian
waved, and Tim smiled a little at Clara. Clara smiled back, and went
to looking down at the table. Raya and Ian started talking, Tim(or,
Timothy) joining in occasionally, eating. Lunch soon ended, and Clara
waved goodbye to Raya so she could go to her locker before class.
Raya stayed behind with Ian and Tim, Raya's other friend, Katy,
talking to them as well.
In
the World History classroom, before the bell rang, Raya grinned at
Clara.
"What?!" Clara said, confused, "Something
wrong with my hair? I just br--"
"No!"
Raya interrupted, laughing a little, "Someone likes you."
Clara
couldn't help but smirk, "Who?" she said, not showing her
anxiousness.
"Remember
that black dude we were sitting with at lunch? He likes you."
"No
way? Really?!"
DING.
"Welcome
to--"
The
school's television news show, Pack TV was on, and Raya had to nod
yes. But she did get out a pen and paper to write with Clara about
it.
Yeah,
he told me. He's all, "What's up with your girl? What's up with
your girl? Is she single? Is she lookin'?" and I'm all,
"Why?" and then he actually said it: "Cause I like
her!" So what do you think of him?
Raya gave the notebook
to Clara, who was sitting behind her. Clara read it, giggling a
little. The teacher looked at her, but she didn't notice.
OMG.
I don't know...what grade is he in?
Clara
grinned, and handed the notebook to Raya. She had so many questions
to ask about Tim.
I
have no clue lol. But you know how I used to like Ian? He said I was
too young for him so I'm not sure.
Raya
handed Clara the notebook, and Clara just nodded to herself.
Okay...well,
yeah. Nothing much to say now.
Clara
felt the questions just had to wait. Re-reading all the messages, she
nodded, then handed the notebook to Raya. When Raya received the
notebook, and read Clara's note, she giggled, and turned back. She
smiled, and mouthed "OK".
To
Whom it May Concern,
Please
excuse Clara from Lifetime Wellness today, as she is just getting
over the flu. Thank you for understanding.
Signed,
Lucy Almanz
"Okay."
The substitute nodded, and handed Clara the note back. Clara looked
at the note, checking for a date: it didn't have one. She grinned,
and folded it up, deciding to save it for later.
Since she was
excused from Lifetime Wellness, or PE, Clara decided to write notes
to everyone. Sarah, and Junior. Sarah's was a short note, just
talking about Clara's day, and her contact info. Junior's note asked
him why he didn't talk, and also held Clara's contact information.
"Hey,"
Sarah smiled at Clara and sat next to her after the class finished
running. The sub didn't care what the class did after that, as long
as they stayed in the gym.
Aw,
wasted excuse note... Clara smiled at Sarah, "Hey, here's
your note." she grinned, giving the note to Sarah.
"Thanks,"
Sarah said, nodding, and accepting the note. She opened it and
started to read it. After she finished, Sarah couldn't help but gasp,
"Ehmagawd. You've written Junior a note?!" she exclaimed.
Clara
had a crush on Junior, and she hoped he liked her back, but she
wasn't sure. So, she decided to start by opening their friendship
more.
Clara
nodded, "Yeah, I did."
"I could never do that."
Sarah smiled, and grinned.
Clara
giggled, "I hope I can." Clara said, truly hoping she'd
have the guts to give Junior the note she wrote him.
A
little later, the bell for the end of school rang, and Clara and Lily
made their way to the buses. They said their goodbyes, and set off to
look for their buses.
Once
Clara found her bus, number 4004, she sat near the back, because
Junior usually sat in the front; she didn't want to sit next to him
while he read her note. Heck, she wasn't even sure if she was going
to give him that note. She really hoped she would, because there were
hints hidden in the letter telling Junior she liked him.
When
Junior got on, a girl was in front of him, and took the empty space
beside Clara. Clara sighed, Maybe another day... she thought
to herself. Junior taking a seat somewhere behind Clara.
The
bus ride ended an hour later, and Junior and Clara both got off.
Clara followed him, debating on whether to give Junior a note or not.
Nevermind... she thought to herself, since Junior was
listening to his walkman. She didn't want to disturb him or
anything...
A/N: Okie dokie, the day has not ended, but the next part is so important and long that it needs its own chapter! Yay! Haha, I rock. I think this may be a bit choppy, so if you see something I need to fix(grammar and spelling), please inform me. If you'd like to comment or critisize(constructed critisism, please), then feel free to. I'd always love to improve my writing.
