I’M READY TO MOVE ON

At peace with what is, or at least to some degree

The drama has subsided, taken into the tide

The woes have left

I’m ready to move on

I’m ready to step up to the plate

And make the most of what I possess

To start anew

To begin with a fresh outlook on life

To build upon a new foundation of another year gone by

To go ahead and not look back

To step out of the ever sinking quicksand of my emotions

The acquired wisdom from the past will carry me on

Brick by brick I will build a new life for myself

Though the terrain will be foreign and unknown I am ready

Though earthquakes may shake my world, I know I can handle it

Though not easy I will succeed, I know I’ll make it through

I know I’ll be alright
