outside her window
the faerie dwells
within her dreams
and neither may silence
her feeble unheard screams
"Not again." she whispers
As her life comes crashing down
she tries to hold het tears
as crimson stains her gown
The niad, she is crying
high in her protective tree
the faery she is gone
as she finds a way to flee
now she's all alone again
all the niad can do is watch
as kindred hands bring shame
to innocent flesh
she wants to scream
the niad
the little girl
as innocence is torn away
naivete is rewritten
in the vermillion
of horrid experience
the niad
the faery
the child
whispers "Not again"
as the crown of thorns
is pressed into her brow
and the hands of kin
ignore her protest
and leave mark
not only on her skin
but on a fragile
child's heart
A/N : A poem about child abuse/sexual abuse... I dunno, I don't like the ending, I wish there was some way the niad and faery, a metaphor for childish innocence, could have saved her, but, alas, thats not always how the world works... I'm not quite sure i like how I wrote the ending either... I started with a rhyming scheme, but it died somewhere... enjoy...
Please... abuse is wrong... whether in a family or in a relationship... it needs to be stopped... I hear too much where abuse has gone too far... it becomes and endless chain, and addiction if you will... abused children grow up to be abusive parents a lot of the time...
