TATTOO

Churning like butter my stomach twists in and out of knots

One minute it’s all ok, the next it’s utter chaos

From child star, to moody teen

Going crazy from anticipation

Going crazy from over-played memories

These memories replay themselves like a bad commercial

Each time worse than the previous

Scrutinizing every aspect

Every move made

But packing it in, until your head is ready to combust

Going through your head over and over again until it makes you sick with nausea

Sick with bitter disgust, monotony, and loathing

Sick until the brink of violent thrashing

Sick until you can hardly hold your composure

Sick until you ache from your own analytical ways

It grinds into your skin like a tattoo

The permanent imprint of what was

The permanent imprint of the pain and ache

The permanent imprint of your stupid life
