I Dream

I dream of walking,
Walking down an empty dirt road.
Surrounded by nothing but grass.
The sun is setting,
And no one is in sight.

I dream of a fork,
A fork in the road.
I must make a choice,
To be my own person,
Or be who everybody wants me to be.

I dream of feeling,
Of feeling immense pain.
I must leave my friends and family.
I must untie the ropes that hold me,
Hold me here in this place of uncertainty.

I dream of being free,
Free from unwanted choices,
Free to make my own mistakes,
Free to make my own choices,
To live my life how I wish.
