Today I saw a man,
Who looked like the past,
His eyes so gray like a winter’s sea.
Time passes like dandelions in the wind,
We never know of the future,
We know of today only as we have known the past.
I can’t explain my story,
My words are too strong for this pen,
His eyes were too strong –
For a forgotten memory,
For I have never looking into the eyes of another,
But today, my present,
Brought a memory of nothingness –
Of gray eyes.
