EPISODE SEVEN: OPPOSITES (1)
“David! I’m so glad you’re here!”
David looks away from Paige, who begins to examine his face closely.
“David… What happened to you?”
David’s face is badly bruised. He has cuts and bruises all over his face. He’s wearing a hat and really, really, baggy clothes. If someone was to walk pass him on the street, they would assume he was homeless.
“I lost a fight…” He answers.
“A fight? Who did this to you? Where is he!? I’ll get Yugi Yo on him!” Paige yells.
Taji sighs in annoyance. David looks confused.
“Yugi Yo…? Anyway, Paige, what are you doing here?” David asks.
Paige looks confused. “What do you mean? You’re acting as if you’re not happy to see me.”
“I’m not!” David yells, angry.
Paige gasps in shock. Water begins to develop in her eyes. “David… I can’t believe you… The whole world is destroyed, and you mean to tell me that you’re not the least bit happy to see your own sister!?”
“NO!” David yells back, hurting Paige even further. David sighs, calming himself down. “So many things are going on now, and… It almost makes me wish I was dead.”
“David!” Paige says.
“And now that you’re here, things are guaranteed to only get worse.” David explains.
“Well… It’s not my fault. I’m a Chosen!” Paige shouts back with pride.
“WHAT!?” David yells again, shocking both Paige and Taji. David sighs in frustration and bangs his head on the wall of the building next to him.
“Great… Just great! What do you got to torture me with now, huh!?” David yells at the sky.
Paige cautiously walks to David and taps him on his shoulder. “Um… David? You okay, hun?”
“NO!”
“Dude, you really have to stop doing that.” Taji says, in response to David’s constant yelling.
David glares at Taji. “Who the hell are you?”
“His name is Tayjee Fullham. He’s been helping me control my powers.” Paige says, standing in front of Taji in his defense.
“Thanks…” Taji says.
David walks to Paige and grabs her tightly. “Paige, you have to stop doing this!”
“Let go!” Paige yells.
Taji pushes David off of Paige. “Back off, alright!” He yells. “Save the anger for someone who cares. Paige didn’t ask for this, it picked her, just like it picked me… And you.”
David sighs.
“Is this how you behaved when you found out you were a Chosen? Did you pout and throw things?” Taji says.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.” David says rudely.
“I think I do.” Taji replies with the same rudeness.
“Incase you’re wondering, Arturo’s here too, and guess what, he’s the first.” Paige says. David raises an eyebrow. “So what are you going to do? Beat him up too?” Paige says with a snobbish tone.
David doesn’t answer. He sighs. “Take me to him.”

Arturo and Aylica return to the city late in the evening. Paige, Taji, and David are standing in front of the entrance. Arturo gasps in excitement.
“David!” He says.
Arturo walks to hugs David, but looks at his severely bruised face and stops. “Ooh… Never mind.” He says.
“What happened to you?” Aylica asks.
“He lost a ‘fight’.” Paige says, rolling her eyes.
“Is he your friend?” Taji asks. Arturo nods. “Then he has something to tell you.” Taji pushes David to Arturo.
“I’m a Chosen. The fifth one…” He says.
Arturo shrugs. “So? I’m the first. Ha ha!” Arturo teases.
“What? You!?” David yells, jealous.
“Yeah, I know, I guess the Niilo loves me. Besides, don’t be jealous. How many Hispanic superheroes are out there? At least you have Shaq. Arturo replies.
“Whatever…” David says.
Arturo suddenly hugs David. “I’m glad you’re back, man.” He says.
David doesn’t return the favor. Arturo gets off him, still remaining optimistic.
“Do you know what this means? If you’re here, and Paige’s here, and I’m here, Christy and Steven could be here, too!” Arturo says happily.
“Arturo-” David begins to say, but gets cut off by Arturo instead.
“We could find them, and once we do, we can forget about that Niilo crap and just leave! I’m so happy-”
“Arturo, they are here.” David interrupts.
Paige gasps. Arturo stares blankly at David. He blinks.
“…Huh?” He asks.

Arturo, David, Paige, Aylica, and Taji are in Dwight’s headroom, sitting and talking in his lounge. Dwight isn’t there, leaving them in complete control of the room. Arturo and David are sitting on the couch, while Paige is looking around the room. Aylica and Taji are playing a game on Trinelle’s video game console.
“So… They’re here… Both of them?” Arturo asks. David nods. “Wow…” Arturo says. “So we’re all here, you, me, Steven, and Christy. Is this ironic or what?” Arturo asks.
David shrugs. “I guess…”
“What’s wrong? Why aren’t you happy?” Arturo asks.
“You work for Dwight Baker, right?” David asks.
Arturo nods. “Yeah… So? I eat for free.”
“That man is evil!” David says. Paige, Arturo, Taji, and Aylica look at David in anger.
“Hey!” Aylica shouts.
“Watch it!” Taji shouts as well.
Paige furiously walks to David. “Excuse me!? That is the father of my husband you’re talking about!”
David looks at Paige in confusion. “What!?”
“She’s married.” Arturo says. David looks at him, still confused. Arturo laughs. “Oh, it’s not real. It’s just a publicity stunt.”
“Arturo!” Paige yells. She walks to him and pinches him.
“Ow!” Arturo whines, holding his arm.
Aylica and Taji walk to David, still upset.
“I want to hear your explanation. What makes you think Mr. Baker is against us?” Aylica asks.
“Why else is he after the Chosen? Have he even told you his motive?” David asks.
“Yes, it’s to find the Niilo to restore Earth back to the way it used it be.” Aylica answers.
“No, what he wants is the power Niilo will give him. Niilo can change the world into anything its user wants. None of you people know how Dwight is like because you weren’t here long enough. I know what he’s like because I’m around people who he personally affected.” David explains.
“So you’re saying that Dwight’s been lying to us! You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about! Just shut up!” Aylica yells, getting more upset than the others.
David stands up and gets in her face. “You can’t believe it, can you? He bought you nice things, made you live in his big mansion, gave you everything you wanted, so you think he cares about you? Wrong. That man doesn’t give a damn about you! You’re just his pawn to help him get what he wants!”
“SHUT UP!” Aylica yells, slapping David in anger, scratching his cheek. Aylica is crying. “You don’t know what you’re talking about! Dwight Baker is a good man! I had NOTHING before I met him! I used to try so hard to be loved…but nobody wanted me. Everyone thought I was some sort of freak-of-nature and wanted nothing to do with me, not even my own family! I thought about killing myself…so much more than once. I thought… ‘What was the point? No one will miss me anyway. I’m just…a waste”. But then Dwight came…and he gave me everything I ever wanted. A pat on the back, a ‘Good job Allison, keep it up’! He showed me that I do have a purpose on this Earth after all. And here you come, telling me that it’s all been a lie, that it was just an act. Screw you, okay! You can take your crap and stick firmly up your ass!”
Aylica then storms out of the room, slamming the door behind her. The room is silent. Taji looks at David.
“You shouldn’t have come.” He says. He leaves as well.
David sighs and sits back on the couch. Paige walks to the couch and sits down next to him.
“I didn’t know you had a bitch bone, David.” Arturo jokes.
“Yeah, I think I’m a bad influence on him.” Paige says.
David sighs. Arturo rubs his back.
“It’s okay, you didn’t know. But next time, you might wanna use a better choice of words.” He says.
David turns to Arturo. “You believe me, right?” He asks.
Arturo shrugs and shakes his head. “I don’t know. I don’t know what is right or what is wrong. All I want to is find that Niilo, then all this crap will end.” He says.
“I want to see them.” Paige says, changing the subject. David and Arturo look at Paige, confused.
“But… You don’t like them.” David says.
“I never said that.” Paige says.
“Yes you did. You said, “Dav-id, I don’t like your friends, get new ones.” David says, mocking Paige’s snobbish voice.
“Oh… Well, whatever. After what we’ve been through, I think it’s best if we put all foolishness aside, and just focus on the future.” Paige says.
David looks pleasantly surprise. “Paige? That you?”
Arturo chuckles. “I think I’m a bad influence on her.” He jokes.

Paige, David, and Arturo are standing in front of a large building down in the slums of the glass-covered city. The building strongly resembles India’s base, only worse. David walks to the door. He opens it, and goes inside.
Paige and Arturo look at each other. They nod, and enter the building as well.

David takes Paige and Arturo to the meeting room of the basement. Christy and Steven are sitting around the table, talking to some of the other teens. Christy and Steven are dressed much differently from before.
Christy is wearing a rather tight, red suit, while Steven is dressed in a long, black shirt, painted with flames, and baggy black jeans, each with a sun and a moon design.
Christy looks at Arturo and gasps. Steven looks shocked as well. She runs to Arturo and hugs him.
“Arturo!” She says happily.
Arturo hugs her back. “Nice to see you, Chris.” He says. Steven runs to Arturo and hugs him too. Arturo chuckles. “Hey, Steve.”
“Where were you all this time?” Christy asks, finally getting off Arturo. Steven does the same.
“Here…technically.” Arturo says, not telling them he’s been with Dwight.
“Hi!” Paige interrupts. Everyone looks at her. Paige continues to wave happily. “It’s really nice to meet you! …Again.” She says.
Christy and Steven stare blankly at her. Christy smiles and walks to Paige.
“Nice to see you too, Paige.” She says.
Paige hugs her. Christy returns the hug as well. Steven walks to Arturo and whispers something in his ear.
“She’s still hot.” He whispers.
Arturo nods in agreement.

Aylica is sitting outside on the balcony of one of the many tall buildings in the city. She’s looking at the black sky, and the rotting, empty, Earth. Taji joins Aylica out in the balcony, watching the dark sky with her. She sighs.
“What if he’s right? What if Dwight’s…”
“Don’t even think it.” Taji says, cutting Aylica off.
She sighs again. “I don’t know what to think anymore…”

Several minutes later, Arturo, Paige, Aylica, Taji, India, Bruce, and Trinelle are in Dwight’s Master Room, listening to Dwight’s current mission.
Trinelle yawns while struggling to keep his eyes open. Aylica still appears to be troubled about David, while Taji, India, Arturo, and Bruce pay close attention.
A holographic map of the current-state of Earth appears behind Dwight. A flaming red circle is surrounding a tower surrounded by water. “I’ve detected the next Crystal Orb, the ninth one. It’s located in the deep Oceans of Atlanta, surrounded by deadly waterspouts. This Orb is the one that will lead us to the final Crystal Orb, making this one the most important one.”
Arturo shivers at the thought, while Taji, India, and Bruce nod. Aylica sighs. Arturo then raises his hand.
“Yes?” Dwight asks.
“Um…how will we get there? If the tower is surrounded by Waterspouts, wouldn’t we like…die?” Arturo asks.
Dwight looks over at Paige.
“No.” He answers.
Everyone faces Paige as well, intimidating her with the stares.
“I still don’t feel better.” Arturo adds.
Trinelle chuckles.

Approximately two hours pass by. Dwight’s large, bright light covered, black jet reaches the waterspouts. The jet has a large red “D” on the bottom of it.
Inside the jet, Paige watches the spouts from the window. India and Bruce are flying the ship, while Aylica, Arturo, Taji, and Trinelle look at her, waiting for her to do something. Dwight walks to her.
“You must do this. Focus.” He says.
“C’mon, Paige… Remember what I taught you.” Taji says.
Paige sighs. She closes her eyes and begins focusing. Suddenly, the waterspouts begin to grow larger. The increasingly larger waterspouts begin to make their way to the ship, causing it to shake. Everyone is staring at the window in shock.
“Not helping, Paige…” India says.
Paige begins focusing harder. She moans in pain as the all waterspouts disappear. She falls to the ground, panting heavily. The ship stops shaking.
Trinelle walks to Paige and helps her up. She hugs him. Dwight then walks to the large window in front of the ship.
“Let’s go.”

The group of eight reaches the room where the Crystal Orb is being held. The room is very wide, with cracks all over the floor and the walls. The floors are covered in brown tile, while the walls are pale blue.
The Crystal Orb is floating on top of an empty fountain in the middle of the room. The dark gray orb is barely emitting any light, especially compared to the other crystals previously.
Dwight walks to the fountain. He smiles.
“There it is…” He says. “Fulghum, Cooper, Rodriguez, go get it. Smith…er, Baker, you stay behind me.” He adds.
Everyone nods. Aylica, Taji, and Arturo go to retriever the Orb, while Paige stays close to Trinelle. When Arturo grabs the Crystal Orb, he’s suddenly shot with a laser gun. He moans in pain when he hits the floor’s hard cement.
“Arturo!” Paige shouts. Suddenly, three people enter the room, covered in dark, ninja gear. One of the three is no other than the “EXECUTER” himself.
India gasps, while Bruce looks at the EXECUTER in awe. The EXECUTER runs to Arturo and grabs him tightly by the neck.
Aylica and Taji take out their guns and begin to shoot at the EXECUTER. Dwight stays clear of the action, while Paige attempts to help the others. Trinelle stands near his father, watching the action with slight agitation.
The other two “ninjas” begin to attack the group, but they quickly stop. The female ninja takes off her mask, revealing herself to be no one other than Christy.
“David, stop! That’s Arturo!” She shouts.
Paige gasps. “David?” She asks.
Aylica and Taji stop shooting. India begins writing things down in her pad, while Bruce looks confused.
“Who’s David?” He asks.
Trinelle glares angrily at everyone, which India quickly picks up on.
“David! What are you doing? Let him go!” Christy shouts again.
David doesn’t listen, but continues to choke Arturo. Suddenly…Arturo stops moving.
Furthermore, for all your horror movie fans, another horror “story” is in the works(I don’t really like to call this a “story”…as you can see, I write as if you’re watching this on TV), so expect to see a new “movie” coming soon… -wink-
