What am I suppose to be?

A Tragedy or a comedy

Should I look away

when things go wrong

Should I never laugh alone

Because I have a funny point-of-view

And I'm always alone.

Except when I'm with you.

I thought of you while on the edge

You held me back from the ledge

It was you who saved me from that fatal step

Only you heard the words I never said

And how much I admire you,

I'll never say

For your courage, for your strength,

For your honesty of who you are.

I don't believe in sappy soul mates

But I know our meeting was planned by fate,

But please don't let this end in hate.

I am not strong and I am not brave

And honesty is blocked by shame

So these aids I take when I wake

Do not make me turn away

But help me face the troubles of the day.

You don't understand… or maybe you do

Maybe you need me as much as I need you.

We are still standing on the edge

Though I changed can't we be friends

Because I will never forget

What you now know

It was you not the meds,

That pulled me from the ledge.
